~ ANNUAL DAY ~

Everyone has heard about Radha Krishna's love story, but very few people know about Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukmini's love story, his chief queen. So, for this very purpose and for providing something new, something unique, St. Xavier's School has organised a play based on it, in their annual day event.

They have selected Rishi and Ananya, to play Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukmini respectively, while Adi as the narrator of the play. They have been practicing the play since a fortnight, and today finally they are going to perform in front of a large number of audience, which includes their parents too.

Soon, the play starts with loud whistles and claps from the audience, as the narrator takes the centre stage.

Princess Rukmini of Vidarbha had always heard of Krishna's great virtues, charm, character and glorious stories. She had always desired to meet him once, but she didn't knew that was to happen very soon. Even Shri Krishna had heard a lot about her beauty, glories and other such qualities making her suitable for a wife's role.

Finally, the moment arrived, when they met each other, and he even proposed her for marriage, with his ever charming smile not leaving his face. It was sealed between them, but convincing her parents and her brother was going to be difficult.

Soon, their love story translated in sending love letters to each other through their pigeons. In one such letter, she mentioned about her Swayamvar and how she will only put garland on his neck only.

Finally, the Swayamvar day came and though she tries her best to explain her parents and her brother Rukmi to let her marry the love of her life, but they are adamant to get her married to the Chedi Prince Shishupal only.

Unknown, to everyone he came along with his Dau to the Swayamvar in disguise, and on getting the green signal from Dau, he walks directly to her room. They had actually planned on getting another Princess marry Shishupal, and the same happened too.

Once, the truth gets known to everyone, all the King's and Prince's declares war, but they are no match in front of Dau's army.

In the meanwhile, away from everyone, she puts the garland on his neck, thus making him her husband, and he too puts garland on her neck, thus making her his wife. Against all evil, their love for each other stands out!

At the end of the play, they gets a standing ovation, as everyone are clearly impressed by them.

'Wow, that was fabulous,' Jinal congratulates all the 3 kid's on their performance. 'No wonder, you got the prize.' She along with Yash, Simmi and Param came backstage to congratulate them.

'Yes, you are right,' Simmi said hugging them. 'Humare bacche hai hi itni talented, ki prize toh unhe hi milna tha.'

'Yes, that's absolutely true,' Yash said caressing Rishi's head.

'Accha Jinal, actually we were thinking if we can make this reel act as real for lifetime?' asked Simmi with nervousness in her eyes.

'Oh my God! You made our work so easy, by saying this. In fact, we were actually thinking on it, but were confused how to ask you this!' She exclaims happily. 'Now that you asked, we are very happy for it.'

'Really?' Simmi again asked, but Yash assures her that it's a 100% yes from them. 'We are very happy that a girl like Ananya will be our daughter-in-law.'

'So, it's done, when they will come off age, we will get them married,' Param winks at them.

'Yeah, definitely!' she and Yash exclaims in unison.

Hearing this, Rishi gets shy, while Ananya blushes. They teases them more.

Naina is still disturbed with Ranjana staying with them, as she paces in her room back and forth. 'No, I won't let her stay here, whatever it may take. She can't stay here.' She takes her cell and calls his parents, her only hope now.
