While Dacre played Jason in the 2017 movie, this is based of the original enactment of the Power Rangers. Non of the Dino or Samurai adaptations.

Perhaps you should have sensed something was wrong in the beginning. Billy wore his overalls differently, Jason was walking with his shirt barely buttoned and Kimberly was smacking gum. And everyone in the small group was wearing sunglasses indoors.

You observed the group as they approached the fountain, eyebrows furrowing when you saw Jason and Zack unscrewing the fountain so Trini could pour in detergent. You closed your locker and approached the snickering teens, "Hey! What do you guys think you're doing?"

"Hey, sweetcheeks," Jason smirked, "Just pulling the most hilarious prank this school has ever seen." He put his arm around your shoulders and you raised an eyebrow when he said, "Pretty cool, right?"

"No. You're going to get detention." You looked at him for a moment, "What's wrong with you?"

"What are you talking about, babe?"

You removed his arm from your shoulders, "There's something weird going on." You glanced at Billy when one of his friends approached him, and Billy pinned him against a locker, shoving him down the hallway, causing the poor boy to fall.

"What is the matter with you?" You approached the boy, helping him pick up papers he had dropped in the fall.

"What's the matter with you, little goody-two-shoes?" Jason asked.

"Goody two shoes. Goody two shoes." The others teased and you glared at them.

"Maybe you should date someone less square." Kimberly said, making a square with her fingers.

You scoffed when Jason nodded in agreement. "Be my guest, Jerk!" You bumped shoulders with him and were about to walk away when Mr Caplan used the fountain, causing foam to cover the hallway, his feet sliding when he tried to walk away.

Jason laughed with his friends as he left and you scowled at the group, offering Mr Caplan a hand to stand. Jason, the real Jason who you adored, entered with his friends, joining the huddle of students who had gathered.

"What happened?" He asked.

You rolled your eyes, moving his hand away when he placed a hand on your back.

"You six, detention." Mr Caplan pointed at the six of you and you gasped.

"I didn't do anything!"

"Detention!" He repeated before leading the way.

You sighed, following him down the hallway. Jason walked with his friends, keeping up but far enough away that their conversation wasn't overheard.

"What was that all about?" Zack asked him.

"I don't know. She looks upset about something." Jason said.

You took a seat at a desk in the back and Jason sat beside you, but you ignored him as you started working on your homework.

"Hey, what's up?" He whispered.

"No talking." Mr Caplan said.

You knew Jason would keep trying to speak to you and he did. For ten minutes he did everything he could to get your attention until you finally looked at him.

"Knock it off." You whispered.

"Not until you talk to me." Jason smiled softly. "Why are you mad at me?"

"Because you're a jerk." You looked at Bulk when he brought out a televsion set. "Idiot."

"Wait, hold on, why am I a jerk?" Jason asked.

"Little goody two shoes? Does that ring a bell?" You said.

His eyebrows furrowed, "No."

"Or that you agreed that you should find someone who was less 'square'." You shook your head, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "Just don't talk to me for the rest of detention. It's your fault I'm here in the first place."

Jason frowned, "But I -" He sighed when you turned away and looked at his friends, shrugging when they looked at him questioningly, silently asking what was wrong.

Your attention was drawn to the television when a news broadcast of the evil Power Rangers came on over Bulk's cartoons. You stood up from the desk, heading to the door, "I'd rather be out there than in here." You walked out to the hallway where Mr Caplan was keeping watch, gaining permission to go to the bathroom. When you came back, the group was gone and there was a note on your desk from Jason, asking you to give him time to explain.

You watched Bulk and Skull search for the group and rolled your eyes, turning your attention to your homework. Later, after searching all the cupboards, the two called on Mr Caplan and you knew the group would be in more trouble than before. And although you were angry with them, you couldn't let Bulk get them another day of detention.

You approached the door, chatting to Mr Caplan to keep him busy. He grew suspicious and entered the classroom and you were relieved, although confused, when you saw the group of friends had returned.

You looked at Bulk, "Guess you'll have detention until your fifty." You went to your desk and Jason waited until Mr Caplan left again to join you at the back of the classroom.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Where were you? With your new girlfriend?" You asked, writting notes in your book, pretending you weren't bothered but he knew you were, and it made him smile brighter, knowing you still cared after the evil Red Ranger had upset you.

"I don't need another girlfriend. I've already got the best girl, right here."

"I'm really sorry for what I said earlier. But I promise to make it up to you everyday."

You smiled softly, trying to suppress it but unable to. "Really?"

"Yeah, absolutely. I wouldn't change a single thing about you."

You looked at him when he held his hand out, slowly placing your hand in his. He leaned closer and you looked at your joined hands, feeling his thumb against your knuckles.

"Everyday?"

"Until you can forgive me."

"Oh, I can't stay mad at you, you're too cute." You pinched his cheek and he chuckled, "But I won't make it easy for you either."

"Oh really?" He raised an eyebrow, smiling as he kissed your cheek.

"Times up. You're free to go." Mr Caplan spoke up and you gathered your things, putting them in your bag, walking out the classroom with Jason hand in hand.
