Chapter 21: Laxus and His Raid

Natsu's POV

The guild has changed a lot. When we returned after our vacation, you know the one where we met Jellal and all, our guild has renovated. It was bigger and stuff, no wonder GuildArts got confused. If you are wondering, GuildArts had already left right after we got the news that Y/n wouldn't be returning for a while.

Laxus and others seemed to be still mad at Gajeel because of the whole Phantom Lord drama. Laxus had attacked Gajeel in front of Levy, Jet and Droy according to what I heard. These are the times I miss Y/n was here. He wouldn't dare hurt Gajeel and maybe what was to happen, wouldn't. Maybe, Laxus missed Y/n, too. And, it was all just a part of the coping process, but it was enough to get him kicked out of the guild.

If you are wondering, what happened then, Laxus and his Thunder God Tribe tried to take over the guild with Laxus as the new master, but that was not going to happen, not on our watch. The Miss FairyTail contest had started. Now, that Y/n was gone, others stood a chance to win, so everyone was excited. During the contest, Evergreen appeared and turned everyone into stone with her Stone Eyes. Laxus then announced that he wanted to play a game to see who was the strongest member of FairyTail. Though, it was clear that Y/n was the clear winner and GuildArts would be the first runner-up. But due to their absence, Laxus was the best candidate. The battlefield was the entire town of Magnolia. Master was prevented from fighting by Freed's enchantments had surrounded the whole area, only allowing those older than 80 years to pass.

Master asked one of the guys to bring Porlyusica to heal girls turned into stones. Erza had already escaped from her stone-self as I used my fire magic to melt the stone which caused a crack, helping Erza escape.

Gray fought Bickslow while Gajeel and I were stuck in the barrier which was odd since I was neither an 80-year old nor a stone statue. Soon, Mystogan also joined the battle. Erza fought Evergreen and defeated her, turning the rest of the girls in the stone form, back to their normal self, much to Laxus's dismay.

Levy, then re-wrote the barrier and me and Gajeel got out. Surprisingly, Mirajane used her magic for the first time in so many years, as Freed was trying to kill her beloved brother Elfman. Mirajane defeated Freed while Lucy with the help of Loke and Happy defeated Bickslow.

Laxus fought Mystogan whose cover blew as his face was similar to Jellal's. But he claimed to Erza that he was not Jellal and left. Laxus hit Erza with a lightning bolt as I commence my battle with Laxus. Soon, Gray, Erza and Gajeel join in. Levy even appears telling us that Gramps was ill and on the verge of death, but Laxus just smiled and continued the battle. Later, we managed to defeat him after he finishes up his magic. I couldn't help but think how short this battle would've been if Y/n were here.

Laxus then appeared later at the guild with the whole guild enraged at him, but Erza hushed them. Laxus asked for Gramps's location, which Erza shows to him. Soon, we found that Laxus got kicked out but in good terms. After he came out of the office Master was at, he came to me and asked that I tell Y/n that he was sorry. I admit I scolded him to do it himself, unknown of the fact that he was told to never return. But then he said, 'please', the term I never thought he was able to use so I nodded and thanks to Lucy, who summoned Leo, we were able to send the message to Y/n.

According to Loke, Y/n was devasted to hear about the battle. She was sorry to be not with us. But she was having a hard time on the training.

Later, Lucy, who was feeling as if someone was watching her, met her father. They had a bad interaction at first but later managed to bid goodbyes in good terms.

Y/n's POV

"I know, Aria. But I have to go. All these months of training must have made some difference... Look, I think I can handle it. I think I'm going to be okay. I can control my dragon slaying magic. I'll only use that, okay? I just want to see him and then meet my guild. I promised to protect it. I can't just abandon them. Please. Aria," I stated, anxiously.

"Fine! But, if anything, anything at all, happens, COME BACK!" she said, sternly.

"Yes, ma'am," I salute her and leave.

After all, I heard from Leo, actually scratch that, I forced it out of Leo, I was, in any circumstance, going to stay back. I wanted to meet my guildmates, and mostly I wanted to check up on Laxus. I wanted to know why he did it in person.

I couldn't help but regret not being there with them when they needed me the most.

Next day ~

I was in the mountains where I had seen Laxus with my earth magic. I went to the place on foot since I couldn't use my magic; I was not in full control yet. I spotted Laxus after 2 hours of searching. I was so glad to find him, I was already tired, but I could sense him near yet he was nowhere to be found.

I ran towards him as he turned back. His face had a surprised expression as he noticed me. I fell on my knees, taking long breaths. I was clearly out of breath. I then stood up. And I pushed him. I know, so mature!

"What is wrong with you? You attacked our guild? Didn't care if Master lived or died? And you're sorry? Sorries don't fix everything," I said, angrily.

He was curiously looking at me when a small smile appeared between his lips, and he hugged me, much to my surprise.

"I missed you," he said whilst hugging me.

"I missed you, too. Idiot," I smiled.

I pulled back, "I hope you know that what you did was wrong and unforgivable,"

"I know. I'm sorry," he said in a sorrowful way. I was glad that he understood that he was wrong. I smiled, "So what have you been doing here in the mountains? Training?"

"I was just here to relax and well, travel but seeing the amount of magic you're giving, right now. I think I have to train. I feel weak," he joked. I playfully punched his shoulder.

"Jokes aside, I'm glad you survived," Laxus said.

"Me too," I said.

We then ended up talking till the sunset. I missed this idiot, so much. I know, it's just been a few weeks, but I thought I wasn't going to see him again, so I guess it's pretty fair.

We were eating a fish that, was broiled in the fire we had burned through some woods and stuff, when he said, "You know, Natsu misses you so much. He was so heartbroken when Loke came to see that you were not coming back,"

"Yeah, I heard. But now I'm back," I said with a slight smile.

"Y/n, are you sure, it's okay for you to be back?"

"I don't know. But I want to meet them, so much. It's just for a week or so. I don't think it will matter and I'm pretty catching on this Empress thing quick," I grinned. He smiled, "If you say so,"

After dinner with Laxus, I flew away. I knew I wasn't supposed to fly, but I was not going down on foot in any circumstance. I flew to the train station and bought a ticket to Magnolia.

Morning ~

"I repeat, we have reached Magnolia. Please get off, safely," a voice said in the speakers. I slowly got up, yawning. I was back. I walked towards my home where my little exceed was. She had not got out of the house since I left. Oh, my poor baby, I was wondering where you were! Hehehe! Glad to be back.

From all the stares and the welcomes, I was getting, it was sure that the FairyTail members already knew I was back, and so did the Council. Lots of places to go to! But first, I was going to my house. I felt so gross bathing on the pond that was nearby where I had settled for the time being. I was dying to get in my bathtub and get a proper shower.

I looked into almost all of the grammatical issues in this chapter. So proud! Anyways, I know chapter does not contain much of the fight and the OC does not have much scenes but well, you know the next chapter is going to be interesting with Y/n's return and the Oracion Seis arc!
