You freeze and stare at Illumi in shock. His eyes are piercing through yours. What was the best thing to tell him? You wished you could lie to him, but Illumi was very perceptive, and if he had asked you about Chrollo it had to be because he picked up on your odd behavior. Perhaps it was best to be honest, but of course vaguely.

"Yes... I've met him before."

"That's strange.

I didn't think you'd know him." He comments.

Illumi stores away the first aid kit.

"Are you affiliated to Chrollo in any way?" He continues questioning.

"Huh...?

Oh! N-no! Not at all!

I don't really know him, I've just met him once before..."

Illumi stares at you.

"Um... Like back in Yorknew...

I saw him at the hotel we spent the night in...

Haha... I was just kinda surprised to see him again, y'know...?"

You smile awkwardly. Illumi keeps staring at you.

"You met him at the hotel?

He approached you?"

What do you say? You don't even remember who approached who first honestly. Your eyes dart to the side. You thought about Chrollo's reaction to seeing you recently. He was pretending to not know you. You decide to play along with Chrollo's narrative.

I just saw him one time, didn't really talk to him...

I think I just got a deja vu of some sort... haha..."

"Deja vu?" Illumi looks confused.

Your eyes widen. This was great. Illumi's focus had shifted.

"Yeah! A deja vu!"

"What is that?" He asks.

"It's a really weird feeling....

Like feeling like you've lived through something before even though you haven't...

You look down at your hands.

He carries you and puts you down on the floor.

"We should return to the client." He mentions nonchalantly.

Soon Illumi and you began to walk back to the entrance room. Silva and Chrollo sat there discussing something.

"We are back." Illumi announces.

Silva and Chrollo pause their conversation. Chrollo turns around to look at you.

"Oh I'm glad, is everything alright?"

Illumi nods.

"Great!" Chrollo stands up and walks towards you.

"Then I'm able to introduce myself now."

He extends his hand towards you.
