Ruhana is in her room. She is angry on Vineet. She's sitting on the bed concentrating on her novel. But she can't. She is upset. She's upset because Vineet isn't understanding her points. He wants her to forgive him, but he needs to understand the pain she is going through. There's a knock on the door, she looks up to find Vineet at the entrance. She ignores him and looks into her book.

"Ruhana!" he calls her name lovingly, but she ignores it.

He feels bad, because she is the only one who jumps at an instant, every time he calls her. She's always near him, whether he calls her or not. She always knows what he needs and what not. And today, she's ignoring him.

"Ruhana, please listen to me." he says and enters the room.

"Do you listen to me? NO! Then why should I do?" Ruhana retorts looking at him.

He sighs. He knows her anger is genuine, but he needs to pacify her. He needs her, after all. She is her source of sunshine. He looks at her and finds her looking into her book. He glances at the guitar in his hand and begins to play her favourite hindi song on it. Ruhana looks at him for a moment, but looks away in the other. He sits beside her and begins to play the song, while asking her to forgive him.

"Give me a smile, please!" he says.

Ruhana shoots an angry glare at Vineet and hops off the bed towards the window. He follows her and keeps his hands on her shoulder.

"Ruhana, I am sorry." he says.

"Your sorry won't take away my pain , Vineet. It won't bring you back. You'll convince me and then you will behave the same from tomorrow." she snaps at him.

"I will try to be the way you want,Ruhana." He says.

She looks at him. The look in his eyes tell her that he's saying the truth, but she can't believe him. She cannot melt and forgive him, so that he can be the same like always.

"I won't Vineet! I've given you ample of time. I've tried to convince you but you don't want to understand. Then, that's the waste of my time." She snaps at him.

"Ruhana, You know I take time." he says.

"Oh yeah! You're taking so much time that you're hurt aunt( Vineet's mother.) as well. Do you know, she's up there looking at you, she'll be sad as well." Ruhana says.

"It's better to move on, Vineet. I know your grief is bigger, but it's life. Aunty's death was fate, but why am I suffering?? I don't deserve to lose my  best friend. I don't deserve to lose you." she says angrily.

Vineet takes a deep breath. He knows she's right. But he can't enter the old mode now. Maybe, he doesn't want to do the same. Ruhana turns to him.

" Now say something?? How much I need to wait, Vineet? What do you want? I am an idiot who's running behind you, always, but you never pay a heed to me. Do you?" She asks again.

She has enough of his tantrums. He should know how she feels when he ignores her or doesn't listen to her. She wants him to understand the pain she feels when he serves her with his silence. She's teary eyed by now.

" I know you, your past, everything. I could go away easily, Vineet. But, I didn't. I stood by your side. I want you to be the same Vineet, you were in our childhood. Can't you give it back to me?" She asks again.

"I am trying." he speaks.

"Really! I don't think so, Vineet. If you're trying, it would have been visible. Just tell me what you want? I didn't want to talk to you. I already freed you, and yet you're here. So, tell me what's the problem!" she says angrily.

"Ruhana, I know, I have hurt you. But I am trying. I'll try my best to be the person you want me to be." he says honestly.

"If you'll leave me alone, then I won't be able to do anything. " He says.

She looks at him and he assures her that he's saying the truth.  He holds her hands in his.

" I'll need you. I know it's hard for me to express my feelings, but I know you're trying hard for me. But it's hard for me as well. Please understand." he says.

"I understand Vineet. Only if you look back at me." Ruhana says, trying to compose herself.

"First, you forgive me." He asks while looking at her.

"Will it make any difference, Vineet? You've promised me several times, but you always break the promise." She says.

"I will try my best not to repeat it. But you forgive me." he says.

Ruhana looks at him. A part of her heart wishes to believe himand the other thinks the other way round. She doesn't know what to do. She looks at Vineet, who's looking at her intently for her forgiveness. She takes a deep breath..

" Fine! You are forgiven. But Vineet, remember that you promised me to be happy and sound." she says.

He smiles while she glances at him for a while, but then ends up hugging him, repeating her words. He pats her back and assures her  the same. As they part the hug, Ruhana's phone rings and she gets surprised and excoted at the news that is bestowed upon her.
