Chapter: 22

I followed Amairany into the gallery feeling guilty inside knowing she should have not seen what had just happened.

"Amairany wait I can-"

"Wait for what," she stopped abruptly in the middle of the entrance, hurt and betrayal in her eyes, anger in her voice, pausing her sentence to make it more dramatic.

"For you to lie to me again? No Elizabeth." She said continuing to walk.

"I only lied, to prevent things from going crazy." I said in honesty as I went to catch up with her again.

"Elizabeth, you know I wouldn't have been crazy hearing about you dating Zayn." She said continuing to walk but a little slower finding some kind of forgiveness.

"I know Amairany but I didn't know how you would react." I said quietly.

"We'll it would have been way easier if you just told me instead of me seeing for myself." She said turning to me with a forgiving face but hurt still in her eyes.

"I'm sorry." I said quietly hoping for her to accept my apology.

"It's okay but please don't let it happen again." She said as she turned back around and walked at my pace. No smile on her face as usual.

We arrived at the hotel in total tiredness and went to get ready for bed.

"I call shower first!" Yelled Amairany, running into the shower.

"Okay, I'll just wait until your done." I said sitting on my bed thinking of what to do next. My phone started to vibrate I went to it and read the caller I.D.

Smiling at it, I answered it.

"Hello?" I asked excitedly.

"Elizabeth, I've missed your voice so much." Said Zayn smile clearly in his voice.

"I've missed yours also." I said making my way out into the balcony that was attached to our room, looking out into the moon.

"When will we see each other again?" I asked now curious to see Zayn again.

"Soon I hope, are you free tomorrow?" He asked his voice with hope.

"I think, I'll call you if I am." I said looking away from the moon seeing if Amairany was done showering.

"I hope you are, I want to see you again beautiful-"

"Zayn! Who are you talking to?" Asked a voice in the background.

"I gotta go Elizabeth, I love you." He said before hanging up. I couldn't even reply to his goodbye from how fast he hung up. Sighing, I went inside to see Amairany out of the shower and going to her suitcase to get some pyjama's on.

"Why were you outside?" She asked somewhat curious.

"I had to take a call with Zayn." I said relieved that I didn't have to lie to her anymore. She smiled at my honesty, I left to shower and when I was ready for bed, I saw Amairany already asleep. I slept snuggling up closer to Zayn's bear I brought with me.

"Today I want you five to do research on the paintings you found interesting." Our Euro Teacher said, while we were in a library. After saying that she walked out and went to go sit at a near by cafe.

"I'm only going to do three page of research." I said looking at the computer screen.

"More than I'm going to do." Said Amairany while she walked to an encyclopaedia.

"This is getting frustrating!" Said Fred after about an hour into the research. He slammed a book back into a shelf grabbing his hair in frustration.

"We're in a library!" I whispered furiously. He needed to show respect to those around him. He quieted down and went to settle and ask Sam for help.

I finished with the assignment half an hour after Fred's sudden out burst.

I looked to see Amairany's eyes skimming over a encyclopaedia.

"You done yet?" I asked curiously looking over her shoulder.

"Almost." She said finishing her paragraph of information.

"Done." She said right after putting a period meaning she ended a sentence, her last.

"Want to go to the hotel?" I asked seeing we walked over here.

"No lets go out."

"I don't think I can today, Zayn wanted to go on a date, and I can't leave him waiting when he invited me." I said looking at her apologetically.

"It's okay, there's plenty of time." She half smiled, disappointed with the fact we could not explore the city. I smiled at her and we made our way back home. I freshened up and called Zayn.

"I'm free all day today." I said smiling when I heard his voice.

"That's wonderful! Tell me your hotels name and room number and I'll pick you up, love." He said enthusiastically.

Telling him my hotel name and number he said he'd be there shortly.

"You sure you don't want me to stay?" I asked Amairany trying to get her to change her mind because I felt really terrible for leaving my best friend.

"Yeah, don't worry, I'll entertain myself." She said smiling at me reassuringly. I heard a knock at the door and went to it opening to see Zayn as handsome as ever standing there.

He leaned down to give me a welcoming kiss and looked at Amairany.

"Is it okay if I steal her for tonight?" He said smiling down at me.

"Keep her if you want." Amairany said playfully giggling at her own remark.

"I gladly will." Zayn said winking at me. He held my hand and closed the door behind me and leaned down for a more passionate kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and his arms around my waist. He pulled away for breath and put his forehead against mine. He pulled away only to intertwine our fingers together and leading me outside, but something out of the ordinary was there this time. People were surrounding the hotel this time, people with cameras ,waiting. I looked at Zayn curiously.

"Aw shit." He cussed and looked at me apologetically.

"Wait what?" I said totally clueless.

"The paparazzi." He said gripping his hand in mine.

They looked everywhere to see where Zayn would come from.

"Just don't listen to what they say, and try to stay close to me." He said kissing my hair soothingly. I was nervous to hear what they would say, what I would hear, and what lies they were about to be said.
