Chapter: 34

"Flight for California leaving in 15 minuets."

'Good.' I thought to myself as I hauled my luggage, trudging through the crowds to get to my plane.

'The sooner I leave, the better.'

I bordered the plane not thinking twice. I found my seat next to a old couple.

'That could have been me and Zayn.' I quickly shook that thought from my head, if Zayn did what he did, then he didn't want me, and I didn't want him.

'Don't lie to yourself Elizabeth.' Great. Now I'm hearing voices in my head.

As the plane took off I started to think. All the times Zayn wasn't on time, wasn't there, he was probably busy with Ms. Edwards. All he said was a lie, it hurt me to know that. Maybe it's because I didn't spend my time sleeping with him. 'Maybe's, all maybe's' I thought as I leaned my head back, Getting comfortable for the long ride back to my regular life before Zayn popped into my life. He's probably with her right now.

Zayn's POV:

"Gone? What do you mean she's gone?!" I exclaimed looking at Amairany, worry washing over me.

"She had a family emergency to go to, she didn't want to tell you because you would worry." Amairany said calmly, her flat yet calm response made red flags stand but I dismissed them, why would she lie to me, she knew how much I loved Elizabeth. Still this made me upset in many ways, making me grip the door frame.

"Do you know if she'll be back in England any time soon?"

"Most likely not."

"Do you think that she's on her flight by now?" I asked now wondering if I could catch up to her in time.

"Yeah, she told me a while ago her flight was already leaving."

I let go of the door frame and let my arms fall to my side.

"Okay, just tell her I came when she calls." I sighed and closed the door behind me.

Why would she leave without telling me? Unless it was urgent, but she would have left a note or some sort of parting words. I walked solemnly back to the lobby, exiting the door when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Maybe she saw something she didn't want to see. I took my phone out and sent a text to her.

'We need to talk.'

A/N: sorry guys, it's been probably a good 2 months since I've updated, I had writers block and I've found a way to manipulate it I guess? I'll update sometime later because I'm going on vacation next week for spring break, (Arizona!) if I find wifi there I'll be sure to update, but during the car ride, I'll be sure to write a few chapters :).

I'll try my best to get in another chapter before I leave, until then!
