Time Flies

Chapter: 12

We came to stop and sat down feet in the sand.

"Elizabeth, I have to tell you something." Zayn said in a sad tone.

"What is it?" I asked, concerned with his sudden mood change.

"There's no easy way to say this," he looked down to the sand and sighed. "So I'll just come out with it, we're going back to England in two days." He said, his eyes showed sadness as he looked towards me.

I felt my heart drop when I heard that. Zayn leaving to go on the other side of the globe? I stayed quiet hoping it was a dream, but no this was reality.

"How long?" I whispered, not being able to find my voice.

"That's the problem, I don't know." Pain filling in his voice in every word being let out.

I couldn't understand what Zayn just told me, I just stayed still and very quiet. I felt Zayn pull me near him an held me in his chest. We both stared off into the sea, the sun setting. We spent a good ten minuets in complete silence.

"Now what?" I asked breaking the silence, fear in my voice.

He kissed my hair in a soothing manner.

"I don't know, but if you can be in a long distance relationship, I can too." He said hope filling his voice.

I looked up to see him staring down at me with his hazel eyes. "Of course I'll stay with you Zayn." I said smiling, I had to be happy for him if he couldn't be happy for himself. He smiled at this knowing I would still be his even after he was on the other side of the planet.

"Let's get you home before your parents get worried."

As we got up we saw a pair of white doves fly above us, fading off as the sun set, sinking into the deep blue ocean.

It was a hour and half drive, we discussed what Zayn would be doing during his stay at England, it was for promotional stuff and a 'break' even though they would still technically be working. I knew I would be sad without Zayn not being with me anymore but I knew I couldn't show him I would be sad, it would make his departure even more difficult.

As we arrived at my house, Zayn helped me out of the car I looked to see the full moon, it looked so bright this night.

"It's beautiful" I murmured, looking to see Zayn staring at it also, it illuminated his face so I could see his hazel eyes glinting with the brightness.

He looked down at me and leaned down next to my ear whispering "You're nothing compared though." Holding my hand he guided me to my door step holding me close to him he murmured "When I leave, will you come to the airport, to tell me a proper goodbye? I mean just for now." He said looking down at me, hope in his eyes.

"Are you sure I can go?" I asked concerned with what his band mates would say or if reports came to see their depature from the US.

"Yes I'm sure, I just want to see you before I go." He whispered close to my face to where I could feel his breath.

"Okay I'll go." I said, my mind flooded with his sweet scented breath.

He smiled and closed his eyes bringing his lips to mine holding my face with the palm of his right hand, making it an affectionate kiss.

As we broke he looked at me with joy gleaming in his eyes.

"See you Sunday then." Before he left he gave me a quick peck and left to his car but waited until I got in safely.

I thankfully didn't have school tomorrow, it was already eleven o'clock at night, time flew by every time I was with Zayn.
