Chapter: 18

'My last full day in the United States.' I Thought to myself as I got ready for my last day of school, it was finally Friday. I packed all my things yesterday, after school I'll double check to see. As I got to school I saw Amairany waiting like always for me.

"Are you ready?" She asked excitement clearly in her voice.

"Of course!" I said looking at her happily.

"Dude I can't wait, can you believe it?" She said looking at me while we walked to our class.

"No I can't but I'm so happy we have the chance to go." I said when I neared my class.

"I'll see you at lunch, okay?" I said before entering class waving goodbye.

I haven't got a text from Zayn since Tuesday, he was busy with family or work so I didn't want to seem clingy and send him a message each day asking what he was doing or why he wasn't he calling, but I was killing me and its almost been a week. I looked outside my window all of first period, deep in thought. I hoped England would keep me busy from thinking of Zayn. The day went by with my thoughts still on Zayn.

I got home to see my mom was early from work. She smiled when I entered through the door.

"Elizabeth, can you meet me in the living room?" She asked as she was going to her room for who knows what.

"Um okay?" I said wondering what she was going to talk to me about. I went to sit in the arm chair like I always did waiting patiently for my mother to come back. I heard her footsteps descending down the stairs and looked to see her making her way to the love seat.

"I wanted to talk to you about your trip." She said as she sat down looking at me with her brown eyes.

"Okay, what about it?" I said staring back at her.

"I just want you to know, if there's a boy that tries to push-"

"Oh god mom, not this talk again!" I exclaimed laughing and looking away blushing. My mom and dad both had this talk with me already. That to wait until marriage my dad told me assertively, my mom said to be safe.

I liked my fathers suggestion better, marriage was a commitment, and if the boy couldn't wait until marriage then he wasn't the one.

"Yes but I just wanted to go over it again, unless you don't want me too." She said looking at me waiting for my response.

"I already know." I said standing up and walking to my room trying to avoid the awkward conversation.

"Remember be safe!" She yelled before I closed my bedroom door. "Gosh talk about awkward...." I said out loud to myself as I went over my list of things to bring.

'Clothes, check. Toothbrush, check. Toothpaste, check. Underwear and bras, check. Mouthwash, check. Cell phone, check. Nightlight, check. Cash, check. What else am I forgetting?' I thought as I ran through it again. I looked to my headboard on my bed and spotted my bear that I slept with.

'That was it, mr. snuggles!' I thought, gosh I was such a child. I still slept with a nightlight and teddybear. I saw Zayn's bear on my night stand. 'I'll bring him also, to remember Zayn while on my trip.' I thought as I took both bears and put them in my suitcase.

It was Saturday and I woke up remembering that I had a trip to go to today. I went by my day getting everything set, my mom and dad took the day off to bid me farewell. We got to the airport at night around 9 o'clock. My dad helped me carry my suitcase inside. This was the same airport I told Zayn goodbye, now I'm going to the same continent as him. I told my parent bye and my mom got teary eyed for a moment.

"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it mom. I love you guys." I said sincerely and smiled giving them both a kiss before exiting the car.

I went to go through the metal detector in a breeze, I was just waiting for Amairany to get here. I saw her coming with 3 suitcases and I looked at her wide eyed and looked down at my one lonely suitcase.

"What they said pack for the trip, so I did!" She said smiling at me.

"Yeah but not to that extreme!" I exclaimed looking at her bags again.

"Well whatever lets just look for the class now." She said waving off my remark.

We saw the top people there and saw our Euro teacher there also.

"Are you guys all set?" She asked before leading us to the terminal.

As we were being seated I saw all kinds of people coming through to go on the airplane.

I looked to Amairany fearfully. I got a window seat which I liked but I was still scared.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she noticed my discomfort.

"I haven't ever been on an airplane." I said as I looked out to the window. Scared for my life.

"It's not anything to be afraid of, just imagine it as a roller coaster." She said as she turned to her left to continue a conversation with our friend Sam. A flight attendant came toward us with a smile.

"Need anything for your guys flight?" She asked nicely.

"Um nothing for me." I said as I pulled my laptop out from my case.

"Can I get orange juice?" Ask Amairany looking up from her conversation.

"Can I get water?" Asked Sam after Amairany.

"Sure be right back." She said as she went to go get their request.

I went to go on my Facebook, scrolling through the news feed. Nothing interesting catching my eye. So I went to msn, some kind of news should keep me occupied.

"Here are your things." Our flight attendant said handing Amairany her orange juice and Sam his water.

"I'll bring your pillows and blankets, be right back." She said going back to get those also.

Amairany yawned, looking at me curiously.

"Aren't you tired?" She asked amused at what I was looking at in my laptop.

"No, not really. Maybe it's just the excitement." I said assuming it must be that.

"You should get some sleep though, we'll be at London at 11 o'clock, we might be able to go out then!" She said excitedly.

"Yeah your right. I'm just going to finish reading the news though." I said as our attendant brought our pillows and blankets.

"If you need anything I'll be over there." She said pointing at a near by room.

We nodded and Amairany snuggled up in her blanket.

"Goodnight Elizabeth." She said closing her eyes and drifting to sleep.

I let her go to sleep and continued to look through the news and checked the weather for London, cloudy 72 degrees. 'Tomorrow, I'm going to be in a whole new country/ continent.' I thought as I turned my apple lap top off and wrapped myself in my warm blanket and laid my head against my soft pillow, drifting off to sleep.
