The kunoichi sat on a rock which was slightly damp from the morning dew. She flicked through pages on her bingo book staining it with her bloodied fingers.

Fingers hesitated, stopping on the page which held the same face of the dead in front of her.

Mio needed money.

Not an hour later and she was flipping through a wad of money, that would do, for now. She sighed looking up the sky, it was a mesmerizing lilac hue.

"Hey" Sasuke Uchiha slunk forward from the shadows, his voice a cascading symphony of echoes. His image fringed at the edges, like flames of light licking off of him.

Mio flipped around to face him, a warmth igniting in her heart, a feeling of infatuation she could easily disregard for anger. Yet it was unmistakable the way her heart squeezed.

"Sasuke" she whispered, eyes locking onto him.

His image smirked, pushing off the tree he lent on and stepped forward. "Mio" as he spoke his apperation flickered, slowly fading away into nothingness.

The kunoichi squeezed her eyes shut, hitting a fist against a nearby tree. She surely was going crazy.

Only a few feet away the real Sasuke held his breath. He looked down on Mio from a tree branch, for a brief moment he had though she had found him, though he was wrong. So, what had really caught her attention?

Confused the male decided to wait a second before returning back to base. He had only stopped to watch for a second, having seen her form as he centered through the woods.

Still distressed Mio stumbled through the forest in no particular direction. She halted, coming to rest against a tree, her head pounding.

"Mio?" Another familiar voice floated out from behind her, followed by the crunch of footsteps.

Still, the kunoichi refused to turn, fearing once again the figure would disintegrate before her eyes.

"Go away" Mio growled, eyes squeezed shut. She dug her hand into the trees bark, nails scraping at the wood.

Slowly the sound of crunching leaves came closer, a hand laying to rest on her sholderblade. "Are you okay?" Deidara leaned over her hunched back, strands of his hair dancing over her.

"I said, go away!" She yelled, jumping up and pushing his hand away. A kunai had made it's way into her grasp, pointing haphazardly at his jugular.

The blonde felt only slightly offended, arms raised in surrender. A sense of dejavu had transcended them, this was parallel to how they first met.

He watched her eyes, they looked bloodshot and slightly cloudy. For the first time the blinde bomber was seeing Mio for who she really was, feral.

The kunoichi was a live wire dancing around a pool of water, only one move away from igniting everything.

"Mio" Deidara started slowly, trying to calm the woman. His arms slowly lowered, hands moving to hold hers and slip the blade away from her grasp.

She shushed him, waiting for him to dissolve away and dissapear before her eyes too. Though even as the seconds passed the blonde remained stabilized in front of her.

"Sasori, my partner is waiting for me, but why don't you come with us?" Deidara was too kind, a soft hearted criminal who couldn't help but adore the Uchiha.

She wasn't good for him, she would ruin him, but still, the kunoichi couldn't help but bask in his summer time glow, his soft words and affection. Perhaps most importantly Deidara made her feel sane even as the familiar numbing feeling once again grew on her soul.

Mio reached out, her hand pressing his chest. The ravenette could feel his heart beneath her fingers, it was steady. "Okay" she finally mumbled.

As she followed him back to his teammate the kunoichi became concious of one thing, something was direly wrong. A sour taste resided in her mouth as she recalled the many memories. The ravenette had to fix this before anyone really found out.

Above in the trees a certain quiet Uchiha grit his teeth warping away. He and Mio hadn't been together in years, he didn't expect her to wait for him, but the Uchiha also didn't expect for her to be with anyone else.

Still, the ninja was not deterred from his quest for her heart, no, instead he was only getting fired up.
