I don’t want to sleep.
I don’t want to dream of you.
I want to lay down,
Not tormented by memories,
Regrets and what-ifs.
I just want to sleep so deeply,
That my mind forgets to dream,
And the images flashing across my mind vanish
Into the blackness of the void.
I would rather be empty
Than half-full of unfulfilled desires.
