"You killed my daughter!" Jason all but shrieked.

He didn't move from his spot, his face churned in horror as he took in the body on the floor.

"Your daughter, was going to kill my daughter," Lorenzo pointed out.

"Not to mention," Gabriel added, he was apparently gone to go get Lorenzo. "That your daughter was also going to kill you."

Jason sat back down on the bed and rested his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. "What the hell is going on?"

"I'd like to know, too," Martin said, popping his head into the room.

"Trust me, you don't." I heard Giovanni say. I rolled me eyes.

"Dad?" I looked over to him and he walked to me.

"What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.

"You should go check up on Mom. Please don't tell her what happened or the near-death in my part. I don't want to scare her again." She still walks around eggshells with me, and I know it's because of the time I got shot. She's scared.

He smiled, "I will. While I do that, you get this sorted, yeah? I have to make some calls regarding this, too. I'm counting on you."

I nodded. "Yes, sir."

He winked and ruffled my hair, whispering something in Elijah's ear as he walked away.

I turned to the men and sighed. I didn't like being in charge.

"Can you guys get someone to clean this mess up? I'm afraid we're going to give both Jason and Ash a heart attack. Where's Kiara?"

"Here!" I heard the familiar voice. When she stepped inside the room, the broom she had dropped and she jumped a foot, screaming.

It took her a moment before she shook her head and took a breath. "I'm sorry. I'm here. What do you need me to do?"

I pointed to the wall, "pieces fell off. Just sweep that up for now. Then call some men over to help you throw out the rug. Ricardo?"

The guard stepped inside the room. "Yes, Miss?"

I scowled, but was too distracted by the bleeding body to care. "Get a few men to throw out the-- no, nevermind. Get a few men to pick up the body and take it to the fourth sublevel basement. I want to see something. Also, call up the doc and tell him we need him here now. Not in the morning or in a few hours. Now. As a matter of fact, call him and then go pick him up. I better see you back here no later than in an hour."

He nodded and left.

"Ash, go back to your room and rest. Please." He seemed hesitant, but ultimately nodded and left.

I looked to a guard who's name I haven't bothered to learn. "Go keep an eye on him. Anything he needs, you get him. Got it?"

"Yes, Miss." He walked out.

I turned again. "And, Jason?" He looked up at me and I sighed. "Your daughter was kidnapped by Angelo Mussolini. He was going to have her kill you. And she was going to do it. I'm sorry this is how you got your daughter back. If there was any way I could have prevented it, I would have. But, for me, your safety was more important than that of an unknown girl. Blood or not, you don't know her. And neither did we. Still, I'm truly sorry."

He looked back down and gave a slow nod, but didn't say a word. I sighed and began walking out of the room.

I heard footsteps behind me and looked over to see my three best friends and my boyfriend following me.
