The bell had ringed making me snap out my gazed letting me know fifth period was finally over. I got up while gathering my things, so I could head out the classroom. The hallways flooded with high schoolers as I walk out. My phone buzzed in my back pocket making me pull out my phone.

Ariel- meet me at your locker after school

As I lock my phone ,  I bump into some dumb fuck making me stumble and trip over their foot.

"Damn ma , you ight?" A hand was extended out for me to grab. I look up and it was August one of the most known boy in school.

"Yeah" I mumble as I regain my balance.

"I'm sorry , did your phone crack ? I can get you a new one. My brother has the plug." I look at it before shaking my head.

"Nah it's okay." I stated simply, Just ready to brush off the situation.

He slowly nodded. "Ight cool ,but what you doing after school Lola Perez if I can ask?" He said with a smirk making me playfully roll my eyes. Deep down I wanted to smile.

"I'm busy actually, but my dad taking me out for dinner." He nodded and his best friend Deontae came yelling his name .

"Yo August !" He said running up to him , August immediately turn around.

"Aye I just Got Shay num-.....oh hey shawty ." He said smiling at me, cutting off his conversation.

" Don't worry I'll let y'all have y'all little talk about fucking people." I said walking away "Nah ma, he just really like shay." I shook my head and walk away.

Sometimes I be thinking August be trying really hard to get my attention or trying to tell me he likes me . August cute and all but he's not my type . And I plus I doubt he likes me so whatever really. I thought to my self .

After School I rush home and to get ready for my dad's big dinner. As I walk down the street I seen cop cars parked in front of my house .The hell , I thought to myself. It was cops every where . I look around and some stoping in front if me .

A cop immediately approach me as I step on my yard. "Sorry ma'am you ain't - " I cut him off once I seen my dad handcuffed and cops pulling him away .

"Daddy ! " I yelled . I ran to him and a cop pulled me .

"What's going on? Why are y'all taking him?! " I asked. I felt tears going down my cheeks and he mouthed me I love you . I broke down cause all I had was my dad . My grandma afrom New York ran to me and grabbed me . "Why is they taking dad !" I scream. She was silent. She soon pulled me into her car and drove off leaving the seen without saying a word to me. I seen my luggage in the backseat and just started crying.
