Fatigue

Fatigue

It gets worse with each night

Each day I grow more sluggish

More irritable

But I can’t control it

I try to sleep

I lie there for hours

Staring at nothingness

Thinking about nothing

Doing nothing

Feeling nothing

Nothing

But yet

The one thing I’m trying to do won’t happen

I won’t sleep

Not until the last moment

Then the next day

Math test

People to talk to

A life to live

Even though I’m weary and worn

I must go on

It’s not just fatigue

It’s not just being tired

It’s everything on top of each other and overlapping

Sleeping less just makes it…

Worse

And I don’t know what to do
