While we were kissing, we heard a window break down stairs. We immediately broke the kiss. I went to one of my bags and took out my pocket knife.
"No, you don't need to investigate. We can just call the cops." he said.
But I was already creeping down the stairs. I peaked around a corner and saw a man with a mask. I stopped looking and held my breath. I could hear slight whimpers from my dog. Then, I heard footsteps heading towards my direction. I heard a gun of some sort being prepared to shoot.
I slowly went back up the stairs. I went down the other side of the hallway to attract the shooter to where I was instead of where Elon and my dog were. I slammed one of the doors, but went into one of the other rooms.
I heard the shooter run into the room whose door I slammed. I crept up to the door and slammed it. I held it shut and yelled to tell Elon to call the police.
"You stupid bitch! Open the fucking door or I'll shoot Elon."
'Idiot. He didn't realize that Elon is over in the other room.' Just then, I heard muffles and a gun being cocked.
"Open the door."
