perhaps there's another me waiting at the corner
we act the same
but look different
but how am i to ever know
they will walk the same way
say the same words that i speak
but they happen to live a different life from me
perhaps that person
knows you as well
the impossible drug of a person
who pulls contestants from every which where
maybe they're with you... as i used to be
something like soulmates
in a planet
beyond our existence
maybe the other me
can tell you the truth
can speak with you openly
unlike i ever could
the years of lies, of secrets
the sheer idea of escape
nothing exists
in the universe over there
perhaps i did everything right this time
no mistakes to learn from
and i found you somehow...
and maybe i apologised for the confusion
for all of those years
and i hold you every night
as i can't do that here
