who were you
before they broke your heart
i heard you moved
but where did you start
your chest was destroyed
tried to piece the puzzle together
but you did something wrong
now your heart makes different decisions
your mind is clouded
storms before your eyes
the rain rolls down your cheeks
don't let them see you cry
you have half my heart
and i know you're taking care
though the pieces are apart
they're happy we're there
you can have a listen
to all of my heart's mistakes
for i trust you enough
to see the thoughts it makes
and there's a long way to go
until our bodies disappear
though we're distant now
soon you'll be here
and once again i could smell your hair
connect to your chocolate sight
feel your floral skin
even if just for one night
and words only go so far
but i know how you feel
the beating of my heart
is stronger for you and me
