and we're jumping through the mirrors
hoping to either end up somewhere nicer
or have the shards mark our eyes

we're not particularly picky
we know our luck isn't strong either
so all we do is hope and hold hands
skipping through the mystery lands

and the words on our tounges
slip through the rain and never make it to the other
maybe we're too scared to say the things we've said before
that's why we lie and just say we're not too sure

and then skipping through lands of lies
we lie down in the cacti of our own minds
unravelling our weeds in our heads
hoping they'll leave someday

and we don't know if our words hold any grammar
we are not sure if the smiles are still fake
the tears didn't dry just formed a few lakes
maybe someone will learn from our mistakes

but we swim either way since we're too busy to notice most things
we're so stuck in our low empathy
in our cynical sympathy
and drunk serendipity

and we will die as we bloom together with the one exception
that it was all a dream caused by drugs in the air
i was always alone and you were never there
