There shouldn't be this disbelif
These agonizing ties
Break that chains of misery
Hold onto your dear life
What happened to the happy music
What happened to those songs?
When you heard the melody your heart would skip to the best
Why is it now that you're breaking down
After all you've been through
Dear Soldier,
Your PTSD
Hush, don't make a sound
And yet here I am
Standing in the stuggle
On top of thousands of memories
Holdfast
To the day of tomorrow
Look here dear solider
We're free
Because of you we know the struggle
Because of you we are
Who we are
Don't suffer
Because you know what's worth it
Don't turn away from those scars
My eyes,
They tear up
The bullets
They ring
In my head
All I want to do is silence them
But in the silence they scream
Take these thoughts
These memories
The words that hiss and sting
Take them away
Lift me up
Oh hope
What ever you may bring
