Recap:

Dante leaned against his car, his eyes glued to the front entrance of the office building. He didn’t know how long he had been waiting but he knew that it was only a matter of time before Jeffery would come out. He shoved his hand into his pockets as the bitter wind whipped at his face. Unable to take the bitter cold weather he decided to sit in the car. Once inside he checked his phone for any updates about Victoria but there were none. As he looked up again Dante spotted Jeffery as he walked out of the building. Instead of getting out Dante decided to follow Jeffery. He carefully weaved in and out of traffic, keeping enough distance not to be noticed. The town car finally came to a stop in an abandoned parking lot, Dante watched as Jeffery got out of the car as a blue sedan drove up towards him. The two men shook hands; Jeffery handed over an envelope to the man before a woman got out of the sedan and rushed over Jeffery. Dante drove up closer so he could get a better look, the woman seemed to be very familiar to him but he just couldn’t put a name to the face.  The men shook hands again before the man left, and he began to talk to the woman. Dante couldn’t take it watching him laugh and grope the woman knowing that he was the reason why Victoria fought to live. He got out of his car and the next thing he knew his fist connected with Jeffery’s face, the bones crumbling under the impact. Dante hovered over Jeffery as he laid out on the ground.

“Feel better?” Jeffery asked with a smirk as he tried to sit up and Dante shoved his foot into his chest pinning him down as blood dripped from his nose.

“Beating me up isn’t going to bring back your dead girlfriend.”

Dante’s fist trembled with rage as he fought to keep his composure. Dante yoked Jeffery up by the collar of his shirt and slammed him into the side of the car while the woman screamed for Dante to stop.

“She isn’t dead you bastard.” Dante gritted out as he wrapped his hands around Jeffery’s throat and the smile instantly dropped from Jeffery’s face.

“Get off of him or else I’ll tase you!” the woman yelled as she dug into her purse but Dante couldn’t stop even if he wanted to, was just glad to see the fear in Jeffery’s eyes. Dante felt something pinch him followed by a strange clicking sound, his body constricted as electricity coursed through him. He felt as if his blood had turned into cement as he fell onto the ground, he couldn’t do anything but lay there stunned as he watched the car drive away. After a few minutes he was finally able to coordinate his brain with his body. As he got up and slowly made his way to his car his cell phone began to ring.

Dante reached into his back pocket and pulled out his cell phone, he saw Nick’s name flash across the screen and instantly picked up the call, hoping that it was the call he had been waiting for.

“Hello?”

“Hey Dante ,Victoria is finally awake,” Nick said and Dante let out a sigh of relief.

“How is she?”

“She’s fine but having trouble remembering the attack. She’s been asking for you.”

“I’m on my way,” Dante said before ending the call.

When Dante made it to Victoria’s room Aaliyah and Lauryn had made it before him.

Victoria’s eyes lit up the minute she laid eyes on Dante. Dante rushed over to her and before he could think twice he kissed her lips. Their kiss slow and sweet, both relishing in each other’s touch momentarily forgetting about their audience until Nick cleared his throat loudly. Heat crept into Victoria’s cheeks as they pulled apart.

"Well damn," Lauryn said covering Aaliyah's eyes.

"Are you okay, you look weird?" She said touching the side of his face.
