"Okay, okay ma I'm on my way," Dante said as he shoved his feet into his sneakers. "I'm sorry I forgot I went with Victoria to get her new car."

"Why didn't you call me I would have just taken the train." Mama D fussed.

"You know I don't like you taking the train by yourself,"

"I've been taking the train by myself since before you were born I can-"

"-I'm on my way, I'm heading out the door now." He said cutting her off. "I'll see you in thirty minutes." Dante ended the call and slipped on his coat before heading out the door.

His cell phone rang and he wasn't surprised to see Victoria's number. He figured that she was calling because she had found an excuse to drive her car again.

"What's up babe?" He said as he stepped out of the house, he could hear her breathing on the line but she didn't say anything.

"Vic?"

"Please," she said barely audible.

"Vic what's wrong?"

"Help me," she said and Dante felt his heart drop, he instantly ran towards Victoria's house. When he stepped onto her block he could hear a dog faintly barking. As he reached the house he realized that it was Heather, which was weird because she rarely barked. He rang the doorbell and waited. After a few seconds he rang the doorbell again. Heather's barking became more rapid and sounded like she was in a panic. His worry was starting to turn to panic the situation just didn't feel right. He tried the door only to find it locked. He ran towards the backyard and had to climb over the gate to get over. When he reached the back door he wrapped his hand up, in his scarf and broke the glass to open the door.

"Victoria!" He called out as he ran down the hallway.

Silence fell over the room as a cell phone vibrated against the table. Jeffery reached out and picked up the phone and answered the call.

"Go ahead,"

Melissa studied Jeffery's face during the call, but she couldn't get a read on him. Jeffery ended the call never saying a words, he sat back in his chair and folded his hands under his chin. Melissa shifted in her seat, she knew that when he sat like that, something didn't go his way and he was pissed off. She didn't want to be anywhere near when he unleashed his wrath. After sitting in silence for over half an hour he finally spoke.

"We we're too late, D.A. Bao has whatever evidence Victoria compiled, who do you know in the D.A's office?"

Melissa chewed at the side of bottom lip as she thought about who she knew in the office.

"Oh the ADA's secretary and I have the same hair dresser, I can see when her next appointment is and see what type of information I can get from her."

"No I need someone closer," he was silent for a while but then suddenly a smile slowly spread across his lips and Melissa did not like when that happened. "I want you to get into contact with Coen; I want him to bug the office."

"No Jeffery don't make me see that man again, he's disgusting." She begged as she thought about her last encounter with Coen, she still had some of the bruises. The man was beyond perverted but he wouldn't do anything Jeffery needed until he spent a night having fun with Melissa. Jeffery reached over the table and placed his hand on top of hers.

"Must I remind you dear that it's , your fault we're in this little predicament." He said as he tightened his grip on her hand, crushing her fingers to the point tears pricked her eyes. "If you never got drunk and blabbed to that little bitch that I was paying you to bury evidence I wouldn't have to clean up this mess."
