Brett and you aren't dating, but you aren't exactly friends either. Things between Brett and you are a bit complicated. But Brett asked you to come to the game tonight and he even washed his practice jersey before he gave it to you with hopes you would wear it at tonight's big game.
A smile worms it's way onto Brett's face as he finally hears your lovely voice.
"Yeah, Brett gave it to me to wear it at the game." You replied to your friend who asked if that is, in fact, Brett's actual jersey
"I can't wait till the two of you finally get together." exclaims your friend happily
Me too. Thinks Brett with an internally sigh before the game starts.
Brett walks up to you after the game a smile wide on his face as he greets you.
"Looking good, Y/N." says Brett with a flirty smile
"I have to say, Talbot, you aren't looking to bad yourself." You say with a smile as you send the tall boy a wink back making him chuckle
"No seriously, the jersey looks good on you." says Brett with a softer smile
"Thanks." You say softly as feelings of happiness bubble up inside you
"You were great out there today." You add making Brett smirk
"I know." says Brett confidently making you laugh as you shake your head
"I should have known not to say anything. It just feeds your already big ego." You say making Brett smile as well chuckle
"Hey, so...I was thinking we could get some pizza together after I change out of my uniform?" asks Brett while trying to hide the nervousness in his voice
"Are you asking me out on a date, Talbot?" You question with a quirked brow making Brett's nerves grow
"Yeah." answers Brett sheepishly
"Well in that case, of course."
