I Think I Love You

Chapter 19: The Airport

Jake's pov

We are driving to the airport and I see that there is a car following us.

"I think someone is following us" Kayla says

"I don't know let's just wait and see if they follow us the whole way." I suggest

We pull up at the airport and the car is still behind us. We get out and so does the other people

Kayla's pov

We get out and so does the other person.

As he steps out I realize it's my dad.

"Hello honey" he says acting sweet. "Hear me out before you say anything" he says quickly

I nod my head letting him speak.

"I know I have been a horrible father in the past but I want to change now. You see I have...... a problem." he says looking down.

"What kind of problem"

"I have cancer, I know this isn't going to change your mind about me but I only have about a year left. But there is a way I can live longer" he says looking into my eyes "oh yes I have liver cancer but that means someone can be a doner for me if they are a match. And I know that I have hurt you many times and I know I will never be able to make things right with you but maybe just maybe I can be friends with you and your new family" he says very hopeful

"We will think about it" I say giving him a smile.

He nods his head and pats me on the back. He goes back to his car and we go in the building.

"That was something" jake says looking at me.

"Yea I know. He's never do e something like that" I say looking down

We board the plane and head out on our long adventure.

"You should do it you know. Donate for your father."

"I am" I say smiling "I mean he's been horrible to me and all but I'm going to do it"

Jake kisses me and I lean my head on his shoulder and fall asleep.
