29. Heart Broken

Genji's POV

My eyes flickered back and forth on the other three. I was able to tell that Zenyatta was analyzing Hana as they spoke to each other. But then Angela interrupted the two and explained why they were here.

"The reason why we came, is because Hana and I discovered that she has a..." She paused and stepped forward to whisper it to him. I glanced at the angel and the omnic, but then I grabbed Hana by the arm and questioned her. "What did you guys discover?" Hana was about to tell me, but then Angela interrupted her. For a second, I was mad at Angela for cutting Hana off. 

Zenyatta and Hana then went inside the building. I tried following them, but Angela grabbed me by the hand.

"Genji, let's go for a walk?" I saw her smile. Immediately my face turned bright red, "B-but..."

"Oh come on, we have much to catch up on!" She told me with an adorable grin. Of course I was worried about Hana, but I wasn't able to reject Angela. She took the lead as she still held my hand. 

OOFFFFF FUCKEN COURSE!!!! OF COURSE HANA AND ANGELA HAD TO COME!! OUT OF ALL THE DAYS, TODAY THEY HAD TO BE HERE....TOGETHER!!! I can feel my heart beat through my amour. I feel like I'm going to puke....

"Genji?..."

I guess I was rambling too much in my head, where Angela realized that I wasn't paying attention. "Huh?! Y-yeah?"

She giggled, "So, tell me what Zenyatta has you doing?"

It was an easy question to answer, but it was hard to focus since we were still holding hands. "Well...he has me meditating every day. And each week he gives me a challenge."

"A challenge?"

"Yeah, ones that will help me connect to my human self..." After I finished my sentence, she paused in place. I was so confused on why she did, so I called out her name. "Angela?.."

She finally let go of my hand and lowered her head. I began to worry, because she wasn't saying a word. But then she turned around with a guilty expression on her face. "Genji...It's my fault that you are like this. I am the one to blame... I am the one who made you into a cyborg. I-...I am sorry..." My eyes widened, and my heart broke from seeing Angela hurt. My mind went blank, but I instantly grabbed her and pulled her in for a hug. I think she wasn't expecting me to do that, because I noticed her face turn red. I broke the silence.

"Angela...you saved my life. If it wasn't for you, I would be dead." My eyes began to get watery, "T-thank you Angela... Thank you for giving me a second chance at life. Thank you, for making me the person I am today..." I hugged her tighter. "I-...I love you..."

She gasped and wrapped her arms around me tightly. "I love you too Genji..."

GAHHHHH?!?!?! WHAT THE HELL AM I SAYING OR DOING?! I CANT DO THIS... NO! I CAN'T DO THIS TO HANA.... wait...?!?

Angela poked her head out of my chest, and looked up at me with her light blue eyes. 

Wait a minute....

Our eyes were locked and it felt as if the world froze in place. It felt like me and Angela were the only two people on the earth.

She slowly leaned in and I knew what she was going to do. I froze in place.

OH MY GOSH... SHE'S ABOUT TO.... WAIT! WAIIIT!!! WAIIITTT!?!?!

Her soft lips gently pressed up against mines. My heart is racing, and my mind is trying to process what is happening. 

She then pulled away and immediately blushed. "I-I am so sorry?! I don't know what got into me..." I coughed and tried playing it cool, "N-no, it's fine..." We then both awkwardly laughed, but then from a distance we heard someone. I turned to see who it was, and of course...It was Hana.

She stared at us both, and then lowered her head and eyes to the ground. 

I didn't know what to say. I messed up...and the thing is, I liked it...

"H-hana..." I choked out, "L-let me explain..."

As I spoke out, she turned her back towards us and speed walked away. Immediately, I ran after here. It didn't take long for me to catch up to her. Once I was close enough, I grabbed her by the arm. "Hana please..." I forcefully spun her around. 

I can never forget the face she had on... it broke my heart.

"LEAVE ME ALONE GENJI! FOR MONTHS I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SEE YOU, AND ONCE THE DAY COMES, YOU KISS ANOTHER WOMAN? NOT ONLY THAT, BUT ITS A FRIEND OF OURS?! ONE THAT I LIVE WITH?!?!"

There was no excuse for me. All I was able to do was apologize. 

"I-...I'm sorry Hana. I truly am.."

She wiped her tears, "Yeah. Me too...for loving someone like you..."

My eyes widened with guilt. I saw her back turn on me, and walk away. I stood still.

I am sorry Hana... I am a horrible person.
