Chapter Twelve

Nevada's POV

1 day before the Miami show.

Two months has managed to fly by so fast yet my life moved in slow motion, and as cliché, as it sounds, every day felt ten times slower and all I wanted to do was cry, but my tears ducts seemed dysfunctional.

When I got home from school, it was straight to homework, which again, took too long then I had to work. I was so close to breaking.

All that I had on my mind was him. I couldn't get him out of my head. I knew that there was a part of me that had fallen for him, and wanted to be with him. But there was a part of me that was completely hurt by what he did.

I felt betrayed, and I have the right to feel that way. He might have had a good reason, but it was going to take a lot longer to get over him than I thought. I had a gut feeling that he wasn't actually Ryan but it stings to know the truth.

I got under the covers and turned on my phone, going straight to the Twitter app.

I still stalked him, wondering if he had moved on and forgotten about me.

@shawnmendes: I wish I'd never hurt you...

@wellnev: everything moves in slow motion. I can't get you out of my head, even after what you did.

It was 10:37 PM, I debated whether or not I should go to the show. I couldn't let perfectly good tickets go to waste, but then again I have to meet him. I wonder what I'm going to say, but instead, I did the unthinkable.

@wellnev: I was given M&G tickets to meet @shawnmendes, but I no longer want them. They are 100% legit, dm and I'll send two lucky fans all of the info. Reminder this is just for the Miami show only.

It took 30 seconds after I sent that tweet that I was immediately given replies, and DM's started flooding in. I scrolled through the thousands of replies

@wellnev: for those of you asking the reason why I'm giving them up....

@wellnev: the person who gifted them to me, as you all remember my indirects about him. He's no longer in my good graces and he was supposed to meet Shawn with me, so...

It took me a good hour before I chose who I was going to give the tickets to.

I accidentally gave my number to the wrong person, turned out it was Shawn when he was last here. I wasn't a fan at first, but he texted me but told me his name was Ryan, and I started falling for him.
He practically begged me to give him and his music a chance. He even used Brian as the face of Ryan. But Shawn and I would talk on the phone all the time, then when I was working one day, I heard an interview on the radio and it was the same voice I had been talking to on the phone. I called Shawn and confronted him and it all went downhill from there, I mean you may think I'm over-reacting, but he lied to me for a long time and it hurt, so I couldn't bear meeting him... That's why I gave up the tickets. ~Nevada.

Goals af, but yeah that's a dick move tbh. I still love him, but I don't know why he would do that... ~Heartfeltmendes

He said it's because he was smitten and it was love at first sight. ~Nevada.
