Chapter 35- Crazy For You

MacKenzie's POV

"Dude." Cisco laughs, cleaning off Barry's suit in the cortex at like 9:00 at night. "That was insane. I mean, even I'm having a hard time getting mad at you for dirtying up my suit."

"Okay, When are we gonna start calling it my suit?" Barry asks, spinning slightly in his chair.

"I'd be comfortable calling it our suit." Cisco says.

"Our suit." Barry says.

"Tonight was the fastest you've ever run." Caitlin says, walking into the cortex.

"Yes, your training is paying off. That coupe is alive because of you." Dr. Wells says and Barry stands up and walks over to the desk I'm sitting on.

"I can still get faster. I know I can." Barry says.

"And you will one day, I'm sure. But for today, I'd say you've fulfilled your save quota." Dr. Wells says. "Proper rest is what you need as do we all."

Better yet, what we need is a proper drink." Cisco says. "Who's up for a round?"

"Oh, dude. It's movie night with Joe. I can't." Barry says. "But I'll see you guys tomorrow, all right?"

"Bye." Caitlin says.

"Night." Barry replies.

"What about you?" Cisco asks. "Drinks on me?"

"I think I'll pass." Caitlin says.

"You okay?" Cisco asks her.

"I was looking for my tablet at your work station, and I found this." Caitlin holds up a tablet with FIRESTORM on it.

"I can explain." Cisco says. "I know you said we should stop looking for Ronnie, so I...didn't stop looking for Ronnie."

"Why?" Caitlin asks.

"Hartley. He said he knew what happened to Ronnie." Cisco says.

"Oh, Hartley Rathaway Who is currently locked up in our super villain basement jail for going psycho with sound waves?" Caitlin asks.

"Yeah. He's made some poor choices. There's no argument there." Cisco says. "But I looked into what he was saying and—"

"Cisco." Caitlin cuts him off. "Ronnie's gone and it's time for me to move on with my life."

"Doesn't seem like it." Cisco says.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Caitlin asks.

"Look, I'm not an expert on love but I think in order to move on from Ronnie, you actually have to move on." Cisco tells her. He goes back to leaning Barry's suit off and Caitlin leaves.

I played with my fingers in my right hand, my left still in the sling, and got lost in thought. About 20 minutes later, I broke the silence.

"I'll help." I say quietly.

"What?" Cisco asks, coming over to me.

"I'll help you find him." I tell him. "I know he's out there. I still feel him in my heart." I say with in my eyes.

Cisco smiles and gives me a hug.

The next day, we were in the cortex, looking at cells or something like that. I don't know. All I know is that's there's a new meta.

"Not even Barry's cell's move this fast. I've never seen anything like it." Caitlin says from the computer. I stand with my arms, well arm, crossed next to Mr. West.
