Third Person Point of View:

The moon hid behind the blanket of clouds. The air was moving like a snail. Far into the mountains of Klataria stood an old and abandoned castle.

Little light was peeping out of it. Voices could be heard from its grand hall.

There were people with lots of chests moving around and keeping the chests on the big table placed between the hall. The hall was dimly lit.

There was a small man sitting at the end of the table, he was wearing a purple gown and his face looked hundreds of years old.

"My fellow slaves, Lord Darkness will be back very soon," he said with a menacing smile on his face. Everyone in the hall erupted in cheers.

'We are back and we will take our revenge,' that old man thought.

Grace's Point of View:

It's been one month since the incident of Thogerson's Creek. Chafica left the village and started living with us, she has started smiling less, her chickens died in that fire.

I didn't know they were that close to her heart, she had even started planning their wedding before their death.

I was sitting in my bed. I pulled the blanket closer to me and sighed. It is also one whole month since Flower talked to me.

Where was she? I tried calling her every day but she didn't come back. I hoped that she wasn't in a trouble.

I didn't open that parcel, I was really tempted to open it but I refrained myself from opening it every time I saw it.

Meanwhile, for the whole month, I tried to recall everything Flower had said to me and I wrote it down on a book. I had even started writing a new story when Katherine or Elizabeth wasn't around.

Katherine and I had come very close, we were now best friends.

Andrew and I had started meeting very less, Katherine said that the Klataria is under threat so he is very busy in work, but still, every day we had awkward stares at the dining table which always left me blushing.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Grace, open the door," I heard Katherine's voice.

"It's not locked, you can come in," I said.

The door opened and Katherine came in with a file in her hands. She was wearing a black dress and had make-up on her face. Maybe she was going somewhere today.

"Grace, will you please go and give this file to Thomas. I need to go to the city urgently," she said with a smile.

"And I can't give this file to a servant to give it to Thomas, it's too important," she reasoned.

I didn't want to come out of the warm blanket but I nodded at her and smiled back.

She handed me the file and walked out of the room. I wondered where she was going, she looked very happy today.

Ugh! I had to come out of my lovely bed. I came out of the bed and shivered when the cold air touched my body.

Klataria was turning colder and colder every day.

I took a quick look at the mirror, tied my hair in a bun and went towards Thomas' room.

This was the second time I was going to Thomas' room. I knocked on the door of his room and he came out with a frown on his face.

"Yes?" he said.

"Katherine asked me to give this file to you," I showed him the file.

A recognition passed on his face seeing the file.

"Aah, this file. Thank you, Miss. Grace. You can come in. Would you like to have some tea?" he said.

I nodded and came inside his room. Nothing had changed in his grey, dull room. Thomas gestured for me to sit on the chair near the window.

I sat on it and looked out of the window and saw that statue of Queen Floisa. I think I really need to research on her.

Thomas came near the table with a tray in his hands. He passed me a cup of tea and a saucer and took one for himself, and sat down on the other chair in front of me.

I noticed a photo frame hanged on a wall. Thomas and an old woman were in that photo together looking at each other with smiles on their faces. Thomas looked a bit younger in it.

"She is my beloved," Thomas said with a small smile on his face.

"Where is she?" I asked him.

"She left me, I made a mistake in past," Thomas' smile turned into a grim.

"You remember John and Vincent? Those slave traders," he said after taking a sip of his tea.

"Yeah, how can I forget them? They pulled me into the world of vampires and sold me," I said taking a sip of my tea. I wondered what my mom and dad must be doing, did they tried to find me? Or forgot me?

"John and Vincent are locked in the dungeons for their deeds. Don't think about those so-called parents. They aren't even your real parents," he said hearing my thoughts.

"What the hell?! How do you even know that?" I asked him with eyes wide open.

"You know nothing about it, Miss. Wilson or should I say Miss. Wincarain," he said with no expression on his face.

Before I could intake a sip of tea, I coughed hearing this.

What the heck?! Miss. Wincarain? I am a Wincarain? How was this possible?

"And I know that you know I am the Lord Wincarain, my little granddaughter you are really good at finding things," he said with a smirk.

Sorry for the late update.

How was this chapter?

What do you think about that old man in purple gown?

Grace is Thomas' granddaughter?

Ahh, I love writing mysteries so much. So please tell me something about my way of writing mysteries. I'd love to know your view about it.
