Aiden stared back at me shocked. "What, why?" He said almost completely speechless.

"Why did you ask me all of a sudden after I've been wanting to get with you?" I questioned back, crossing my arms.

He then dragged me and made me sit down on one of the benches under the shade. "Because you were there for me when I needed you--especially the drama with me finding out my real biological father." He explains.

"You actually have Mikayla to thank for that. She was the one who found out, not me. She did more for you than I actually did so why aren't you asking her out?" I debated back.

"Why are you making this difficult?" Aiden asked as he scratched his neck awkwardly.

"Tell me this: are you asking me out because now I look 'prettier'?" I said bitterly.

"What? No. I've always liked you." He assured but I didn't believe him.

"Then why all of a sudden?"

"I'm jealous that other guys will try taking you away from me." He admitted.

"Sorry, not a good enough excuse." I say as I get up and walk. "Maybe later, then yes when I know you actually mean it." I add, leaving Aiden staring speechless after me.

~Mikayla~

"Where are you boy?" I whistled as I try searching for the husky I had found earlier. Out of nowhere it ran straight to me wagging it's tail.

"Hey there boy! I brought you some snacks." I say and it just starts wagging it's tail even more. He is such a good listener. I open my bag and throw some chicken bits to him. He catches them in his mouth and I grin.

I love dogs, but no one knows that--yet. He is so tiny so I decide to carry him. I look around me and see if anyone is there. I slowly sneak him into my book bag so only his head pops out. "You're coming with me. I shall name you...I don't have a name for you at the moment but I'll give you one soon, I promise." I explain as the dog stares at me with innocent eyes. It whimpers and wags his tail some more.

I then realize I can't take him back to my dorm, since everyone will make a fuss of it. "I know where your new home will be. It's very comfy and huge." I tell the pup. And it may be weird since I'm talking to a dog but back home I would always take my dog for a walk and talk about my day to her. I miss her, but I had to let her go when I came here.

I start walking and almost get to the building when I find Jason entering it as well. I sigh, knowing either I'll have to wait or let him know.

I then realize that he won't be leaving anytime soon, since he decorated the place up nicely so I enter the room. I close it behind me and look at him with an innocent expression.

"What are you up too?" He asks as he narrows his eyes at me.

"Why do you assume I'm up to something?"

"You have that determined look." He observes and then I want to smack him for noticing so damn well.

"I'm not up to something though." I say and that's when the dog decides to whimper and move around. I close my eyes as I hope he doesn't notice.

"What just whimpered?" He questions.

"Okay, fine!" I say and show him the husky. "You can't tell anyone!" I order as he comes and pets the puppy.

"I promise I won't. I just have one thing to say: you hate people your own age, yet you love animals and babies. Figures." Jason comments and I smirk.
