"Kylie is going to hate your guts dude." Ricky said through Chris' car's sound system while Chris obeyed the speed limit to Cherry Street Apartments.

"Kylie will have to build a bridge and get over it," Chris replied. "it is what it is."

Ricky laughed, his laughter echoing through the car. Chris smiled, slowing down to a red traffic light. According to the GPS; he was three minutes away.

"What will you tell Gaia?"

"The truth. There's someone else."

"How do you think she'll take it?"

"Oh, no doubt she'll be pissed off. She has a fire in her, Ricky." Chris told him.

"I've noticed. But, I'm glad you're fighting for Audrina and finally getting your shit together. Just don't fuck it up."

"I won't," he sighed. "I have to go because I'm here."

"Good luck and call me after!"

The call ended and Chris found an empty parking space, cutting off the engine. He sat there for a moment, staring at the large and tall building. He didn't bring a dozen red roses nor a box of chocolates, he knew that wouldn't win over her heart. Chris just wanted to talk and check up on her. It took him two minutes to find apartment C16 and knocked multiple times, but no one answered. The reasonable option was to leave and come back later at a better time, not six in the evening, but Chris decided to sit down by the door and wait patiently while scrolling through his phone. Residents walked by, giving him strange and suspicious glances but no one spoke to him, and he just waved. He didn't know what to expect from her, she was a little unpredictable. She could be happy to see him or angry and he was prepared for any emotion. Her laughter caught his attention. It echoed through the corridor and his ears. She appeared with Dalton by her side and honestly they seemed happy, but Chris got to his feet to greet her anyways. He didn't travel all this way just to leave because she looked happy. Dalton spotted him first, freezing in place and Audrina followed his gaze. She looked extremely shock, as if she was seeing a ghost. She stepped away from Dalton's side, staring at Chris. A strong force was dragging her towards him, trying to get her to run into his arms, but her self-restraint was stronger.

"What are you doing here?" she finally said. Chris stuffed his hands into the pockets of his black skinny jeans. "how did you find where I live?"

"Elizabeth told me."

"Damn her." Audrina hissed under her breath.

"I hadn't heard from you. I needed to know if you were okay so I reached out to her through Instagram," Chris explained then took a step towards her. "can we talk in private, please?"

Dalton cleared his throat, approaching Audrina and slipping his arm around her waist. He overlooked Chris as if he was beyond disappointed by what he saw.

"I don't think she wants to talk to you and clearly she didn't before if she's ignored your desperate attempts to get her attention. So, how about you leave before I contact the law and have you arrested for harassment?"

"Dalton--"

"How about you let her answer and you just stand there with your mouth shut?"

"She made her decision, just leave her alone. She doesn't want you, buddy."

"Let her tell me that or are you one of those controlling dicks that won't let their women have a mind of their own?"

"Fuck you, you don't know me, faggot!"

"Hey!" Audrina shouted, getting in the middle of them. She faced Dalton angrily. "you do not call him that, you don't call anyone that!"

"I'm sorry but no one accuses me of being controlling."
