Seventh floor...the elevators opened. 719.... there it is. I walked into my room and grinned. This room must've cost Travis a fortune! His job here in Calgary must be making him some big bucks. I took a quick shower, then decided to call Mackenzie.
"Hey Mackenzie"
"Hey! -----"sorry Travis stop!" She giggled on the other end.
I sighed. "So about the hockey game, you're coming with me, right?"
"There's only one ticket, did i mention? I'll tell the hotel staff to deliver it to your room. And Travis tells me its amazing seats, right up against the boards!"
"Right" i said. I tried not to sound disappointed. At least I'm going to a hockey game, even if it's all by myself.
I hand up and glance around my room. I open my suitcase and take out my Jonathan Toews Stanley Cup Finals shirt. I smoothed out the wrinkles. Perfect for tomorrow!
Just then, a loud THUD hit the wall. What the heck? This hotel is fancy, but it sure is loud...Then came abrupt laughter from some guys. Men these days, i sighed. I knock lightly back on the wall, and i grin. I think i just freaked out the guys. They suddenly grew quiet. I laughed to myself. I'm good.
