"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those timid spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."  -Theodore Roosevelt

Wow. Isn't this quote incredibly accurate? Every time I read it, I practically get chills. You know why it is so wonderful? Because I try to apply it to my own life. Dude, I'm not gonna try and sugar coat things - at all. Life is hard. I mean, it is really hard. But, you know what? Life is also beautiful. Completely and utterly beautiful. How the life we are living be such polar opposites all at the same time? The answer is simple: by daring mighty things. If you never go out for the track team, debate team, or any event for that matter, you will never know how successful it could have been. If you have decided to do one of these things, and really worked at it, you know it can be stressful. You also, however, know that it can be very rewarding. When we choose to branch out and try to accomplish despite our outcome, we are guaranteed glorious triumphs. The harder you work, the more glorious the triumph. If you don't dare mighty things, there is no way you could have this incredible feeling. So go on. Dare mighty things. The only thing you could regret is not knowing what could have happened if you tried. -Katelyn
