Zoë's POV
I could hear what everyone was saying, and I wanted to reply. But I couldn't move my mouth or make a noise. I felt paralyzed, I couldn't open my eyes or speak or move my arms or legs or anything.
I felt so uncomfortable, my back was hurting as was my arm, legs and head too.

A few days later, I could hear everything more clearly.
Katherine was awake and she was learning to walk again too, and I was so anxious to wake up myself.
She was allowed to come into my room and talk to me, even though she knew I couldn't respond.
It was weird, because I could remember everything that everyone was saying to me.
