Chapter 7: surprise visit

RUBY POV

Today was Saturday which is gonna be a very busy day at the coffee shop. Kevin volunteer to work with me. Kevin left the pack since the alpha knew he was going behind his back to give me information, he also admit that he's my protecter. My real parents sent him over to the King-night pack once they knew where I really was. I just don't get it, if they knew where I was, why didn't they come and get me. Kevin told me that they can't leave while the rogues are still out there and ready to attack. I asked Kevin to take me to them but it to risky and it not easy to get over there. So I guess I just have to wait. Oh I forgot to mention Kevin is going to school on Monday and here I thought he was older than me, well I was wrong he around my age, he just acted older for the alpha to believe him.

So here we are working on a Saturday instead of sleeping. There were crazy costumer today, I haven't seen Conner and our friends just yet, there probably have football practice. Man don't I wish I could see him playing football, I wonder if he plays with his shirt off or on. My thought were interrupted by Kevin who was wiggling his eyebrow.

"May I help you Kevin" I said with a smirk on my face,

"Oh I'm just wondering if your gonna stand there all day and picture your mate in a football uniform. " Kevin grinned. How the hell did he know.

"Shut up, I can't wait until you find your mate and you be all dreamy about her" I told him getting back to work. Right there I had a vision.

I saw a teenage girl coming to the coffee shop with a group of friends. They took a seat at the table by the window where they usually seat. I look at the teenage boy who look like Kevin by far away. The girl kept staring at the boy , so did the boy. I heard them mumble mate. I saw the girl close up and my eyes were wide. Miranda is Kevin mate. My vision ended.

Holy shit ! Who would of thought Kevin was Miranda mate. I must tell Kevin right now before my vision comes true.

"Kevin" I yelled. Making him drop the glass of coffee at the costumer. I cover my mouth and hold back a laugh. Oops.

"Look at what you done! You made me drop coffee at the poor man pants. I'm so sorry" Kevin said. The old man looked at us with a glare and went to the washroom to clean himself.

"Kevin you won't believe it but I just had a vision of you finding your mate here." I said right on cue I smell my mate approaching the coffee shops with his friend. Oh my god the vision is coming true.

"Your kidding me. Is that your new ability" Kevin said looking at me impress. I nodded at him.

"And there here" I told him. I heard the door open making the little bell ring. I turn around and saw Miranda and my friends seating at the table by the window. Miranda and the group went tense. Oh crap Kevin forgot to mask his scent. I notice Kevin going over to there table to take there order. I couldn't help but watch.

Miranda and Kevin stared at each others like there no tomorrow. This is just like my vision. Miranda was no longer tense but the guys were still tense knowing there a rogue in the coffee shop. I mind linked Kevin.

"Are you two gonna stare all day or take there order" I mind linked him. Earning a glare from him. I couldn't help but chuckle. Conner was now glazing at me with adore look. I couldn't help but stare back and smile.

"Ruby I need to tell Miranda why I'm here and crossing there territory ,I don't wanna lie to her or worse rejected" Kevin mind linked me with a desperate look.

"Ok we'll tell her after work, tell her to meet us in the woods around noon" I mind linked him. I shut off my mind and got back to work. I notice Emily doesn't work today which was really weird of her. She never miss work whatsoever. I push the thought aside and saw a costumer wearing black all the way back of the store. Is he a hunter? I thought. Well I will never find out if I'm standing here like an idiot.
