I sat in the kitchen by myself and stared at the empty tub of cookies and cream icecream in disappointment setting my spoon down beside it I rubbed the tears of frustration from my face and leant my face on my palm.
"You're not my sister" Ethan's words ran through my head painfully, so who was my real family? Do I have siblings or am I an only child? I tilted my head back and stared at the bare ceiling that I could only faintly make out in the dimly lit kitchen, the wall clock read 3:00 AM I hadn't been able sleep at all and it had been one of the most difficult things I've ever done to wrestle Sebastian's arm off me and get downstairs without being noticed I looked back down at the array of ice cream tubs I'd collected reading over the labels to myself

Toffee
Napolean
Vanilla
Choc Chip
Cookies 'n' Cream
Five I'd eaten five tubs of icecream I knew if was any other day if I was any other girl I would have stopped after one.
I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to sift through my memories for anything that wasn't filled with the life of 'Christina Black' but the only thing I was able to conj up was a faceless man and woman the man had flaming hair and brown eyes and the woman brown hair with silver eyes, they had to be my real parents.
"Christina? That you?" Someone asked from behind me their voice thick with sleep
"Yeah" I said softly turning my head to see the glimpse of orange and felt a small smile stretch itself forcefully across my lips as Axel walked towards me and despite his sleep attire his eyes were alert
"What are you doing out here by yourself?"
"Eating, I'd offer you some, but I think I cleaned the freezer out" I shrugged motioning to my mountain of icecream.
"It's fine, I'm good anyway" he smiled reassuringly "shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"I guess, but I can't sleep. I can't make sense of anything"
He sighed lightly and wrapped his arm around my waist lifting me off the chair and setting me on my feet, come on, come and sleep in my room you can't wake Sebastian up now. I nodded slowly wondering how Sebastian would take that that news in the morning.
Once we got to his temporary room that Sebastian had let him borrow for the night he settled down on the floor and left the king sized bed for me.
"I don't mind sharing Ax"
He looked up at me in surprise "What about Sebastian?" he asked quietly,
"He's my mate, he should know by now nothing's going happen between me and anyone that isn't him"
Axel shrugged and climbed in beside me he grinned at me goofily "I've missed you so much, I'm glad I found you"
I tensed up and the question that I refused to ask left a bad taste in my mouth taking in a deep breath "Axel" I whispered softly my heart hammering against my chest
"hmm" he mumbled opening one eye to look at me
"Did I, did we - did we know eachother" I rushed out a sick feeling rising to my stomach at the long and intense silence.
"Yes." he stated causing my heart to miss a beat "we were close"
A piece to my past was sitting beside me.
