"Love is patience..."
RJ came home earlier than he thought. He wanted to spend more time with her. He was confused from her sudden change of mood. He tried to re-track on what they talked about during dinner. He thought he didn't say anything bad. It bothers him that he doesn't know what's running in her head. He took a shower and got ready for bed. But he can't go to sleep. He had to know how she's feeling.
"Carly sorry to bother you. Pero can you tell me what Sam is doing?" Tinawagan ni RJ si Carly kasi nga walang siya phone.
"RJ it's one in the morning?! What do you think she's doing?!" Inis na sagot nito.
"Please... Please Carly," pag mamakaawa ni RJ.
Lumabas ng kwarto niya si Carly at sinilip si Sam sa bedroom nito. Laking gulat ni Carly ng Hindi niya nakita sa kwarto si Sam. Tapos meron siya naririnig na parang umiiyak sa living room. Dahan dahan siya lumapit sa living room at nakita niya si Sam curled up like a ball in the love seat crying.
"Sam. Are you okay?" Tanong niya habang hawak hawak pa rin ang iPhone niya. "Why are you crying? Something wrong?"
RJ heard what Carly said and he hung up the phone. He hurriedly drove to Carly's house. It's a good thing that Carly was only ten minutes away. He got there really fast.
Carly gave Sam some cold water when she heard a door bell. She opened the door and it was RJ. He walked towards the living room wearing pajama and white tank top and he saw Sam curled up in a ball on the love seat silently crying. He felt her pain in that moment. He didn't know what kind of pain it was but parang kinukurot ang puso niya ng makita siya na ganon.
"Shhhhh... Tama na Babe," bulong nito sa kanya habang hinahawi ang buhok niya behind her ear. Inaamo niya ang dalaga. "Shhhhh... I'm hear na. What's wrong? Talk to me please?"
Hindi sumagot si Sam at hinayaan na lang niya amuin siya ni RJ. Binuhat siya ni RJ papunta sa kwarto niya. He laid her down sa bed and tucked her in. He sat on her bed beside her at naka sandal siya sa head board. Hindi niya iniwanan si Sam hangang sa na katulong ito.
Sumilip si Carly sa bedroom ni Sam at bumulong ito Kay RJ na matutulog na siya. Pag tango ni RJ bigla naman nag salita si Sam at narinig ni Carly. "Ge. Bakit?"
Nagkatinginan si RJ and Carly.
"Gerald. Bakit mo ako laging ini-iwanan?" Sabi ulit ni Sam.
Tumingin silang dalawa Kay Sam pero ito ay matutulog pa rin. She's sleep talking.
"Who's Gerald?" Bulong na malakas ni Carly.
"Go to sleep! Ako na bahala!" Bulong din ni RJ.
At umalis na ngang tuluyan si Carly at natulog na rin. Hindi makapaniwala si RJ sa narinig niya. She still haven't moved on from him. Natutuwa na nalulungkot siya. Natutuwa kasi this means mahal pa rin siya ni Sarah all these years. Malungkot kasi hangang ngayon nahihirapan pa rin ang puso ng babae. Kailangan niyang bumawi sa kanya.
Nagising si Sarah ng maramdamam niya na meron nakayakap sa kanya. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a hairy arm naka pulupot sa kanya. She turned her head and saw RJ. She slowly turned her whole body to face him. His arm still wrapped around her. Pinagmasdan niya ang gwapong muka nito. She traced his face with her finger. She can't deny na namiss din niya ang lalake.
"Bakit mo ako iniwan? Masaya pa rin sana ako hangang ngayon? You didn't give me a chance to prove my love to you Mr. Anderson," bulong nito kay RJ habang tumulo ang luha niya sabay pikit ng mga mata.
Sabay ng pag pikit ng mga mata niya sabay naman Bukas ng mata ni RJ. Nakita nito ang pag tulo ng luha ni Sam. Nakaramdam siya ng guilt at galit sa sarili niya. Pinunasan niya ang luha na tumulo sa mata ni Sam using his thumb. Hinalikan niya ito sa noo at hinigpitan ang pag kayakap sa kanya. Pareho sila natulog na mag ka yakap.
She woke up alone the next day. "Just a dreams," she thought to herself. She tried to go back to sleep. Her bedroom door opened and she saw RJ holding a breakfast tray and biting a rose's stem with a smile.
He put down the breakfast on her bed and gave her the rose, "Good morning beautiful! Breakfast in bed! You can add this to your list of experiences!"
"Wala kang pasok?"
"Nope! I called in sick today."
"Why? You don't have to do this."
"I want to! I want to be with you on your "experience" adventure. I want to be part of if. I'll take two weeks off from work para masulit ang vacation mo. Tapos I can be your tour guide. We'll go places you haven't seen before! What do you say?"
"I don't know Ge, I'm here to do it myself. Ayoko maka sagabal pa sa bago mong buhay. To tell you the truth I have not yet found myself. I want to do this alone, nagiging istorbo ka lang. Sorry," at umalis ng kwarto si Sam patungo sa bathroom.
Nagtataka si RJ sa sinabi ni Sam. He felt sad. He wants to know what's wrong with her. "Is it something I said?" Naisip niya. He doesn't know what to do. He waited for her to come out of the bathroom but she took her time. He waited in the living room with the breakfast he prepared. When she came out of the bathroom she went straight to her bedroom and closed the door.
"Sarah... Come on let's talk," sabi ni RJ sa door.
Walang sumagot.
"Sarah..." He knocked her door.
Still no answer.
"It's almost noon I know your hungry... Please come out..." He pleaded.
Still no reply.
"Sarah! Hindi na ako nag bibiro! Gigibain ko tong pinto! Sarah!" Galit na sabi niya.
She swung the door opened, "Bakit ka pa kasi nandito?! Umalis ka na!"
"No! Hindi ako aalis hangang Hindi mo ako kinakausap!"
"Ano pa ba ang kailangan natin pag usapan? Tapos na ang lahat diba? Tinapos mo!" Sigaw na sinabi Sam na maluha luha ang mga mata.
"Sarah," lumapit si RJ sa kanya.
"Wag!" She held her hand up. "Please. Umalis ka na. And leave me alone."
"Fine! Aalis ako ngayon pero babalik at babalik ako kahit sa ayaw mo at sa gusto. Remember what I said four years ago Sarah! Remember that!"
At tuluyan na nga na umalis si RJ sa bahay ni Carly. Naguguluhan pa rin siya kung ano ang nag trigger ng damdamin ni Sarah at ganon na lang ang nanyari bigla. He needs to find out. He wants her back. He'll do everything. Because she is "the one" for him, lalo na ngayon na pinag tagpo ulit sila ng tadhana. They're are meant to be.
