Its been a full week since you've last seen Jack. As each day passed you got more and more worried, still feeling slightly bad about being so harsh on him a few days ago.

You walked through the house for maybe the 50th time this morning, you were trying to see if he would magically just pop up. Unbeknownst to you he was always watching from afar and he was insanely good at it too.

It was currently 10.56 am, your mom was in the kitchen making some small meal before she had to go it for her afternoon shift. As you walked into the kitchen yet again she seemed to give you a weird look. "Are you okay hun? You're walking around like some ghost" She chuckled, grabbing a small tupperware container from the cabinet and placing her lunch in it.

"Yeah I'm okay it just feels like something is missing." You hum, crossing your arms as you lean against the counter, watching her put her lunch together.

"Dont forget your tea this time." You spoke up again after a few silent seconds, pushing the empty flask her way. "Oh, thank you." She said in reply, grabbing the flask and turning to prepare her tea. "Something is missing? Is it maybe (y/s)? You've been watching after them for a while now and now they're in school, you don't see each other as much anymore." She commented, briefly turning back to you.

"Oh, yeah it's probably that." You hummed again, taking a glance from the kitchen into the living room. You swore you saw something move.. or was it just the lack of sleep you've been receiving..?

"You look dead, just go rest (y/n)." She giggled, you flinched in surprise as she patted your shoulder and finished up with packing her lunch. "I've got to get going, love you. Don't forget to go pick up (y/s) at 3pm." She said, squeezing your cheeks and letting out another small laugh when you groaned at her affectionate action.

"Yeah, i will. See you later." You chuckle as you watched her walk down the hallway. The sound of the door shutting the the doorknob jiggling gave you the sign that she left, leaving you home alone. Well.. not entirely-

"Your mom seems nice." Jack's voice suddenly said from beside you, you were still leaning against the counter at the moment, looking up at him with widened eyes.

"Where've you been?!" You said, elbowing his side. That caused him to let out a small half assed chuckle, being interrupted by a grunt as you elbowed him.

"Oh y'know.. around." He said, not exactly answering your question. "mhmmm..." You hummed in disbelief, side eyeing him as he became noticeably nervous, shuffling around and shifting in his place.
