You were about to come up with an argument when you were rudely interrupted. "Don't you even dare say shit about my focken' land chap, you dont have a fokin' queen no more you have no right to speak while a skeleton is your new king." Eliot continued with a horrid British accent.

You bursted into a fit of uncontrollable laughter, finally calming down in a couple of minutes. "oh, oh okay okay calm down now." You said, still out of breath from your laughing fit.

"When're you visiting again?" You ask. Eliot lived in a whole different country than you, scratch that a whole different CONTINENT so meeting up in person was a very...... difficult thing. Sure you were both of age where you can travel on your own but still, it was expensive as shit for a person in their early ish twenties with a mediocre ass job.

"My tickets are for around December 12th, or is it 15th? anyhow..so i'll be there for christmas!" He squealed on the other end. "Great great! We'll be babysitting (y/s) tho."

Your parents were not really neglectful to the two of you, just very busy with their work as lawyers.

"But I can ask them to hire someone so we could have some duo time for each other." You continued.

"It would be nice to get some one-on-one activities." He said, you heard some fabric shuffling on the other end so you guessed he shrugged.

"Hold on.. I'll call you back man, I have to call my mom." You quickly mutter to your phone, Eliot only had a couple seconds to reply with a simple 'okay' as you hung up to call your mom.

"Heyyy mom, when are you getting back, just so i know if I order takeout or not." You jumped to the point as soon as the poor woman who had to endure you every day picked up.

"Just order take out, and leave my portion in the microwave. I'm gonna come home really late dear." She let out an exhausted sigh as you heard some papers being moved.

"Alright, will do. Love you mom" You end, she replied with an honest but small 'love you' before you both hung up.

As you were getting ready to call Eliot back you heard (y/s) call out for you. "I'm coming!" You swiftly rolled off your bed and got up, finding them in their room with the box in hand.

"(Y/N) the box is jammed, it wont open.." The small child said with a whine, their face being riddled with confusion and disappointment.

"That's odd.. Maybe it's just for decoration and it wasn't made to be played with? It'd still look really pretty with your toys." You attempted to soothe their sour mood.

"Yeah but I still wanted the full jack-in-a-box.." They continued to whine making you release a sigh and kneel down to sit on their room floor with them.

"How about after I finish work I'll go to a toy store and see if they have any newer ones." You offered, (y/s) expression altered for a second before they frowned again.

"But mom bought me this one, it's special." They hugged the broken box close, pleading with you to do something.

"Fine, fine, I can try to fix it, hand it over." They released a squeal and your statement before happily handing you the rather huge box, you worked as a mechanic with your dad so you knew your way with tools.

"I'll take it to my room and try to fix it, okay? Keyword (y/s), i'll 'try', you can't blame me if it's actually broken." You groan after exiting their room and returning to yours. Texting Eliot a small apology for not calling him back due to some things you need to finish.

"Alright, how do I fix this.. Maybe it just needs to get oiled, It looks like its from the fucking prehistoric era." You murmur to yourself grabbing the small oil pump to unjam the rusty ass jack-in-a-box your dearest sibling apparently loved oh so much.

"That was rude.. I'm way younger than that." You heard a voice, spinning around to greet yourself with an empty room. "I'm probably just delusional, no wonder Eliot keeps calling me schizophrenic holy shit." You rub at your face before continuing to work on the box.
