Nicole Jane’s POV

“Sana magising na si Ate. Miss ko na siya, eh!”

“Wag ka nga magdrama riyan. Hindi bagay sa ‘yo. Saka kung makapagsalita ka naman diyan akala mo ay ang layo ni Nicole. Samantalang araw-araw mo naman siyang nakikita rito.”

“Kailan ba kayo magkakasundong dalawa? Pati ba naman mga simpleng bagay ay pinagtatalunan n’yo pa.”

Nakapikit ang mga mata ko pero gising na ang diwa ko. Nakarinig pa ako ng ilang pagtatalo bago tuluyang tumahimik ang paligid. Then I heard a footsteps and sound of a chair that’s being pulled.

“Sabi ko naman kasi sa ‘yo subukan mong halikan, eh. Malay mo bigla na siyang magising.”

“Puwede ba, Kira. Wala ka na bang iba pang suggestion bukod roon? Noong nakaraan mo pa kasi pinipilit ang tungkol diyan, eh.”

Muli ay nagsimula na namang mapuno ng bulungan at usapan ang buong paligid. Hindi ko pa maintindihan ang mga sinasabi nila noong umpisa. Hanggang sa maging malinaw na ito sa ‘king pandinig. Their voices were all familiar. But I just can’t put a name on who they are.

I want to open my eyes and make a move. But it feels like there’s something heavy inside of me that stopping me from doing so.

“Let’s just let her have some rest. After all, that’s what she needs to regain her strength. Just don’t leave her, and stay on her side always as much as possible.”

“I know, and I don’t have any plans of leaving her even just a single second. Because I want to be the first one that her eyes will see the moment she wakes up as well.”

Tila saglit na tumigil ang paghinga ko nang marinig ang boses na ‘yon. Then I suddenly felt a pair of cold hands that holds mine. My heart automatically beats faster because of that. Para bang nakilala agad nito ang presensya niya.

That’s how strong and deep our connection to each other.

“My princess. Please wake up already. I really, really missed you.”

Just like that, I feel so strong, revive and alive again. Biglang napalitan ng lakas ang panghihinang nararamdaman ko. Dahilan para unti-unti kong maidilat ang aking mga mata.

Napakurap muna ako ng ilang beses bago ako tuluyang nasanay sa liwanag. Just like what I heard that he wants to happen, my eyes search for the sight of the only man I love.

A tear escaped from my eyes the moment I saw him sitting beside my bed. His head bowed down like he’s thinking of something while his hands played with my fingers unconsciously.

“K-Kyle,” I called him out in a weak and low voice. Sobrang hina lang nito pero ramdam kong napatingin silang lahat sa ‘kin.

He looked up and his eyes widened. Slowly, a smile formed on his lips.

“You’re awake!” Dali-dali siyang tumayo at hinalikan ang noo ko.

“Woah! Tama nga ang sinabi ni Rei sa ‘kin. Ngayong araw ka nga magigising, Ate!” Napapalakpak pa si Miley pag lapit sa ‘kin.

Natuon naman ang atensyon naming lahat kay Reiri. Waiting for her to explain.

“I had a vision three days ago that you’re going to wake up this day. I just didn’t bother to tell them, because I’m afraid that it might not really happen.” She smiled.
