Chapter 33: Decisions

After all the commotion earlier, Fatima finally got a chance to make an appointment with her doctor.

Fatima is in deep thought. Do I need to bring a baby into this mess? What are you doing Fatima?

(FYI this is a fictional story. Roe vs Wade does not exist, lol)

Knock, knock.

"Who is it?"

"It's Andi."

"Come in."

"How are you doing?" asks Andi.

"My emotions are all over the place. I need to go home and lie down, but I have a meeting with a client at 2:00."

"That's okay. I can fill it in for you. Just put me to speed on what's going on."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes T. Now go home and get some rest."

Fatima gives her as much information as she can about the client and then goes home.

Fatima calls Madam.

"Hey T. What's up?" says Madam.

"Can you come to the house today?"

"Yeah, give me a moment and I will be right over."

While waiting for Madam, Fatima gets home, showers, and takes a nap.

Three hours later, Madam arrives.

"Hey, girl. what's up with you? Do I need to hurt somebody?" asks Madam.

"You may have to."

"Don't be playing because you know I will."

Fatima and Madam go into the kitchen. She tells her everything from Zac to Karen to Ian to the positive pregnancy test.

"Damn T!" says Madam. "Are you going to try to make it work with Zac?"

"I don't know. He has a lot going on right now."

"You know you will be good regardless. You have an entire village."

"Thank you, cousin."

"But that girl Karen. She needs to be taught a lesson."

"Well, I have to do it the legal way."

"I know."

Fatima and Madam talk for a few more minutes before she leaves.

The next day Fatima has a doctor's appointment.

"Hi, Ms. Wilson."

"Hi, Dr. Kisnee."

"Is your cycle still irregular?" asked Dr. Kisnee.

"Yes."

"We need to do a urine test and a sonogram today."

After that is done.

"Fatima you are pregnant. Looks like you are about 6 weeks."

They finish up and Fatima leaves.
