Taekook display elements of a romantic relationship. Let's find out what elements are there for these type of relationships in general and compare to Taekook's.

First, let's discuss the types of relationships and in the next chapter the elements of said relationships.

What are the four types of relationships? And which category would Taekook fit under? There are generally 4 types of romantic relationships. They are Independent, Codependent, Open, and Long Distance.

Independent relationships are those where the couple do not have to be together all of the time. They have other hobbies and friend groups that keep them occupied. These relationships have people in them that are trusting toward one another.

Codependent relationships are the opposite of Independent ones. The couple has to be together a lot. It would seem that they can't survive without the other. These type couples "are very good at compromise, and tend to compromise a lot so that they can do everything as a unit (that is unless their interests are so similar that they do not need to compromise)." *from Relish at hellorelish.com

Open relationships are where the people in the relationship are able to date other people. They may have rules, but these couples will explore romantic and sexual relationships outside of their relationship with their main partners.

Long Distance relationships are those where the couple is not able to be together a lot physically because they are living separately like in other towns, countries, etc. These couples may FaceTime, visit each other, and call/text, but majority of their relationship is played out being physically apart.

Which one of these categories does Taekook fit in? What do you think?

In my opinion, I believe they fit in the Codependent relationships category. Just judging off the fact they can't keep their hands off of each other and they seem to like doing everything together from being on the same teams during Run BTS episodes to playing video games together. Taekook seem to be exclusive so that's why I place them in this category.

Someone could argue that they may have started out as an independent relationship without defining it as such

Someone could argue that they may have started out as an independent relationship without defining it as such. When they were younger, they may not have wanted to be exclusive. Maybe they were bonding with idols from other groups like with JK texting his '97 line members. With the jealousy over other idols and actors, I don't think if they were in an independent relationship that both parties were happy about it. What do you think?
