Chapter 18: The Joke

Marcy's POV:

"Why are we going?" I ask .

"I don't know". Amelia replies tapping her fingers.

"Okay ........... Is the light really back ?" I ask .

"Beats me" she replies with a shrug and tapping her fingers agains .

"Are you going to be non chanted the entire time we're here?" I ask a little annoyed at the tapping.

"Well that a great question" she replies this time tapping slowly.

Before I could say more Asher gives me a look that says it all.

The look was a worried one . At first I was confused but then I noticed Amelia looking at us then her fingers .

Is she trying Morse Code ?
But why ?

Thankfully I am good at Morse Codes .

Kinda my hobby .

I nod and she nods and she starts tapping .

It took me literal 30 minutes to breakdown what she was trying to say .

She had coded : "THE LIGHT SPIES ARE ON THIS PLANE . TOO DANGEROUS TO TALK. GOING TO LOS ANGELES".

Asher and I both nodded with wide eyes .

Max's POV :

I was getting bored .

And irritated . It has been almost a day since my last f**k.

Which is horrifying to be honest .

I look at the Driver who looks like a robot to be honest .

I tried to make conversation for the sake of my imaginary sanity but the driver only said "Yes, No, Maybe" every time.

I was now bored af.

I look back at my cousins who were looking terrified to be honest .

Why were they scared ? I haven't done anything to them YET.

I look at them and they look at me .

I decide to tease them a bit .

I say to them : " Okay soo change of plans . One of you has to die right now ."

And then all 3 of them squirmed like chickens.

I continue saying : "Which one of you is it going to be ? And if you don't reply in 10 seconds I'll kill all 3 of you😉"

I start counting down .

They all look at each other as if seeing each other for the last time .

"Kill me !" All 3 of them reply at once .
I was taken aback a bit .

I expected them to use each other but they were willing to sacrifice themselves for their two cousins .

I then said to them : "You guys are willing to sacrifice yourselves in order to save your loved ones so that they may live happily ever after"

They nodded .
