Checkup

Your lady looked down at you reassuringly, she smiled softly and grabbed your hand carefully- she knew you weren't a big fan of hospitality

Your eyes wandered back to the woman now assisting you- she was nearing your height, she had medium length, blonde hair- a paler skin tone- you examined her a bit closer- her left eye was blue and her right one was green, you found it quite cool- you assumed she was 5'7 like you since you both seemed like the same height

"Laurent..my name is doctor Laurent" she spoke kindly

You tilted your head up "h-huh?..oh!..Y/N" you nodded "Y/N L/N" you forced a smile, your head hurting too much to let you do anything else

She chuckled slightly "I know who you are silly, your name is well known at this castle"

"Right..sorry" you shook your head lightly

"Don't apologize.."

You closed your eyes slowly

"Y/N?" Your lady finally spoke after being silent the whole time

"H-hmm?.." you opened your eyes again, looking up to meet your lady's gaze

"She doesn't seem to be doing all that well..what seems to be the problem?" The doctor spoke

"Hurt..everywhere.." you spoke silently "Alci.." you glanced up at her faintly, a pout forming at your lip

You weren't necessarily feeling ill, your head was simply hurting like all living hell since you left your concussion untreated and it only got worst in due time

A groan left your mouth faintly, you just wanted the light to go away

"Darling..what's the matter?.." your lady spoke out gently

"Too..bright.." you covered your face with your hands

"Doctor Laurent, is there a way we can dim the lights?" Your lady slightly demanded

"I'm deathly afraid not, my apologies lady Dimitrescu" she walked back over with some things in her hands, giving a slight bow in apology

There was a bitter twist at your fiancé's lip, you knew she hated seeing you sick- but your afraid this is the second time out of many she'll get to see your ailments- and you're just afraid she's going to be acting the very same to all of them

You sat there motionless, taking in small breaths to try and not focus on your head

"I'm going to need you to stop covering your face lady L/N.." The doctor spoke out softly towards you

'Lady L/N..strange, I don't like being treated so properly..' you thought bitterly

"Y/N..please call me Y/N that instead" you pouted, finally revealing your face again

She smiled softly "very well then.."

You gave her a quick nod of approval when she brought the stick thermometer close to your lips to take your temperature

While you waited she checked your reflexes- doing the basics of a check-up since you couldn't necessarily remember the last time you got checked by a doctor, let alone ever getting treatment

A bit after she took out the thermometer- revealing a 102.3 high fever

Her eyebrows furrowed

You tilted your head slightly "what is it?.." you asked

"102.3 fever.." she spoke out "how long have you been feeling this way?"

Your eyes widened slightly- you don't believe you've had a fever that high before
