This "chapter" is gonna be rough, I have zero ideas on how to start it off but I forged something from the top of my mind, I hope you enjoy the story so far

(Update from chapter "Cabin" - this story is honestly 1000x better when you get passed a couple of chapters :) give it a change you might like it)

You inhaled a sharp shaky breath, looking up at the castle who seemed to tower through the dark muggy clouds

"This seems... welcoming" you said to yourself while walking towards the tall castle doors, hesitating slightly before knocking. After moments with no answer you try pushing the door open, and to your surprise it worked 

You walk in to see a huge open space with a long curved stairwell, paintings covered the walls and you spot a fireplace surrounded by couches
'This doesn't seem half bad' you thought to yourself

"Hello?.. is anybody here?" You heard your voice echo through the halls, a shiver ran up your spine as you felt a presence suddenly appear behind you

Taken aback, you stumble forward almost tripping on your own feet, before your frame would come in contact with the marble flooring, a sickle pierces through your arm keeping you on your two feet

You choked out a horrid scream, turning back around to be greeted by a feminine, smirking face, as two swarms of flies appear behind you, turning into black cloaked women

You couldn't deal with pain very well, not even noticing the stream of tears on your face the woman still holding you up smirked wider, her voice was sharp, just like knives, you could tell she was enjoying herself

"Oh!~ Looks like a new toy stumbled into the castle! Let's go show her off to mother shall we?"

Before you could even react or say anything, one of the other two girls pierced your other arm with their own personal sickle, now being dragged for what felt for hours through long, fancy halls, only hearing the eerie laughs of the three girls enjoying your pained expressions

Finally reaching the specific room they were looking for, they burst through the door with excitement "mother look! We caught a cute one!" The one who looked like the eldest said

You couldn't believe what was happening, just moments ago you entered the castle to take up a job offer as a maiden and now your a bloodied mess with huge gashes in your arms
'These are going to scar- if I even live long enough to see them heal..'

"Oh daughters, it doesn't take long for you three to find a new playthings hmm?" The woman sitting in a rather large fancy chair said, she stood up and turned towards you

You looked at her tall frame, 9'6 feet tall to be exact, wearing a long off white dress with black gloves and heels with a large black sunhat to complete the look, whine glass in hand she approached your shaking frame

"State your business at the castle Dimitrescu, who are you and why have you stumbled into here" her golden yellow eyes pierced through you, you squirmed slightly feeling her intense and intimidating presence

"Y-Y/N... my name is Y/N, I-I came.. t-to your castle t-to take up" you paused to take a sharp deep breath, continuing with your sentence afterwards "a job o-offering as a maiden" you choked out in fear

Her expression changed, softening a bit, as if she remembered your presence was to be expected, she composed herself once more and spoke in a more empathetic tone

"My apologies Y/N, I was expecting your arrival, but it seems my daughter's welcomed you before I could.." she put down her whine glass on her vanity "Daniela, Bela and Cassandra, you are to be excused, this isn't a new toy, this is our newly recruited maid"

"But mother! I found her first! It's not fair! Can't we not recruit another one? Let us play with this one! Pleaseee?" The women who first attacked you pleaded, assuming it was the youngest- Daniela

You shrieked in fear, hoping the tall woman wouldn't agree with her daughter's offer, trembling even more now you shut your eyes, tightly

"Don't make me repeat myself. Now go!" She signed them away with her hand

Both sickles teared out your arms, the girls groaned and disappeared into a huge swarm of flies, moans of discomfort and pain escaped your mouth as you slowly opened your eyes, noticing the tall woman examining you, she looked quite stunning, but her intimidating presence made you fear her

"I am so very sorry for this inconvenience, Y/N. let me bring you to the castle's infirmary so your wounds could be treated" she slowly bent down to pick you up bridal style, only assuming you couldn't hold yourself up with the loss of blood you've experienced

You winced in pain and gritted your teeth, she noticed and had an apologetic facial expression, though she stayed quiet until you both arrived at the infirmary

She set you down on one of the cushioned medical beds before turning to exit the room, leaving the doctor on shift to tend to your wounds, she suddenly stopped, realizing she hasn't introduced herself properly yet

"Oh! How rude of me, my name's lady dimitrescu, you may refer to me as my lady or mistress" she turned to face you once more, your eyes meet as you smiled shyly

Lady Dimitrescu snickers as she noticed your shy behaviour "now, take a couple of days to rest and you'll get to your duties once you've healed. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience with my daughters dear, hopefully your mind hasn't changed about working here for us"

'Yeahhh- it definitely doesn't take a sickle to each arm to change my mind' you thought to yourself but only shook your head in response to the tall lady

"Good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have matters to attend to" she turned around once more to leave the room

The door closed behind her, but you were too busy speaking with your lady to notice the male doctor next to you with a needle and thread in hand

Your eyes widened at the sight but you couldn't hold yourself conscious anymore, you fainted out of pure fear, the exhaustion didn't help the matter either.

I know this probably seemed a bit rushed and scuffed, but please bear with me and keep reading :) it'll get better I promise! I have many ideas and will probably post frequently- I just honestly want to get deeper in the story to see them both fall in love with each other T^T
