(Todoroki x Reader) Same Quirks

With each passing day, I got more impatient and felt hopeless. What if she's dead? The thought of it made me sick, but I felt like I had to keep myself busy. I couldn't sit still. After the combat training, I reached out to my father so that he could continue teaching me how to use my quirk, but I also kept in contact with y/n's parents. I wished that I could leave campus to go check on them, but I couldn't. Especially because of her kidnapping. After one of my provisional hero license classes, I walked into the dorm with Bakugo and was greeted by everyone, but I couldn't help but notice the way Kirishima looked at me.

I often didn't notice things like this, but I've been on edge, so I was being really observant. "What is it?" I asked him, but he just ignored me. I went upstairs to get ready for dinner and once I finished, I went downstairs to take my seat at the table.

"Have you heard of any news?" Asked Koda.

"No. I don't think they're planning on using any of us to help find her."

"I'm sorry that we couldn't do anything to help." Apologized Midoriya.

"It's not your fault."

"Well, if she was my girlfriend, I would've found her already." Inserted Kirishima, making my blood boil.

"And how would you have done that? If the pro heroes can't find her, what makes you think you can?"

"They're not even focused on finding her! They're afraid of facing the league without being prepared, so they're holding back. I would've been gathering information on the street, getting access to street cameras, doing whatever it takes."

"As if you could. Did you forget that you're still a student? No one would help you. You don't have the connections."

"I still would've been more helpful than you. You've been sitting on your ass, doing nothing to help her."

"Well, like you said, she's my girlfriend! Not yours!... You think that I wouldn't help if I could? I'm not a hero yet, but I'm working on it. I'm checking on her parents when I can, I'm taking notes in our classes for me and her, I'm getting stronger so that nothing like this ever happens again, I keep asking Aizawa sensei and my father for information, but they're not telling me shit. All I can do is wait! Yea, things would be different if she was your girlfriend. You have your license and I don't, but what's stopping you now? You're still into my girlfriend, right? Why haven't you saved her? Maybe if you did, you could steal her away from me."

"Todoroki-kun. Please calm down." Begged Yaoyorozu.

I noticed how tense the room was and I quietly ate. I don't think I've ever gotten that emotional in front of everyone. After dinner, I showered and changed into my pajamas. It's been hard to sleep recently, but sneaking into her room to sleep in her bed helps. I feel closer to her and her scent is calming. It feels like she could walk in at any moment, to cuddle into my chest. What I would give to have her in my arms right now..

In the morning, I went to my last provisional hero licensing class with Bakugo. I did my best all semester and in the end, I finally got my license. All Might picked us up to take us back to U.A, but a villain had blocked the road. Bakugo and I quickly exited the car and defeated our first villain as heroes. I felt happy. Something great came out of this awful week. Once we got to the dorms, we opened the door to see the whole place decorated and everyone yelled "Congratulations!" They had surprised us with a party and even invited some students from other classes. I was talking to Shoji, Sato and Ojiro until the room fell silent. Everyone looked to the door behind me and I turned to see y/n walk in with Aizawa sensei behind her. Our eyes locked and once I saw her smile, I ran to her. I hugged her, but it felt like I lost all my strength. I started crying and we both fell to the floor with her on top of me. She pulled away to look at me and I could see happy tears in her eyes before she kissed me.
