Chapter 16-

{Christian's P.O.V}

"So what about we get some lunch?" My dad says turning down his 80's radio music.

I sighed, "sure"

Me and my dad never really hang out anymore by ourselves, so it was kinda awkward.

Now if I was 8, if be beyond happy.

I mean, my dad wasn't just my dad, he was my hero.

But now, he's just my dad.

We pulled into a little burger shack type place.

There were little picnic tables outside which were all empty.

So we picked the table at the very end.

"That Jacey sure is something" my dad started.

I looked up at my dad, who just continued eating his burger.

"Yeah dad."

"She must be to you," he paused swallowing his food, "so what happened last night when you two went out?"

"Well, you see-wait."

I gave a confused look.

How did he know?

"Oh, son" my dad laughed "I was your age too once you know."

There was an awkward silence.

"So tell me, why were you apologizing to her?"

"I kissed her." I mumbled.

"You what?"

"Kissed her."

"Ah, high five!" My dad said holding his hand up, but I just continued looking at him.

"No, she pulled away from me so I freaked out and said I didn't mean to kiss her."

"Did you mean it?"

"I guess. Well, yeah actually."

"Then stop apologizing and show her you meant it."

Woah, great idea dad!

Not like I thought about that!!

How the hell am I supposed to show her?

"I want you to start off by doing some little things." He spoke again breaking the silence.

"Like?"

"Open the door for her. Any door, except for maybe the bathroom door." He laughed.

Oh god dad....

"Ask her how her day was, and just listen. Most importantly, if she asks you to do something, do it."

Oh well, that's not hard at all.

"After school Tuesday how about you invite her over for dinner. And do those things I told you to do. Okay buddy?"

"Yeah dad."
