"Please take a seat." The social worker said as the couple entered the room with warm smiles on their faces.

Peter felt like he could barely breathe, his eyes were trained on his God Parent's. His God Parent's. It was still so hard to believe that he had family members still alive.

"Alright so let's gets started. Peter these are your God Parent's Rose Simons and Karl Simons."

Peter gulped nervously and smiled shyly at the Simons. Rose had long brown hair, it was curled and shaped around her face almost perfectly. She was wearing a yellow dress which flowed down to her knees with a smart denim jacket to go with it.

Karl also looked neatly presented; a white button up shirt paired with light brown trousers. The man himself was wearing a circular pair of glasses and his hair was a mess of brown curls.

"Hi." He managed to get out before his stomach flipped and he closed it, trying to not-so-obviously wipe away the sweat in his palms on his jeans.

"Hi Peter, it's so good to finally meet you. Me and Karl have been waiting so long." Rose said, her smile radiated warmth and safety and she clasped Karl's hand in her own.

"You look so much like your Father." Karl said, looking at Peter with teary eyes.

Peter held his breath at the foriegn words, it was so weird to have people know who his parents were. He was so use to...well, was use to people referring to his Father as Tony. But his real Dad? Richard Parker? That felt different.

Still he managed a shy smile and a small, "It's good to see you too."

"So Peter you will be spending the day with Mr and Mrs Simons, your guardians have signed the permission documents so you're free to start your day together."

Steve and the others said goodbye to Peter, giving him a hug each and reassuring him that if he wanted to leave they would come and pick him up immediately. But the boy was feeling good about the day out, he needed a distraction from all the dark thoughts in his head and he got to meet family at the same time.

Peter and the Simons exited the building and walked through the streets of New York slowly.

"So Peter, tell us about yourself." Rose suggested, the same conforting smile plastered on her face.

"Uh well, my best friends are Ned and MJ, I...enjoy science and building lego." It was bland and simple but Peter knew he couldn't reveal too much or make them too suspicous. God knows he couldn't so much as mention the word Spiderman.

"That's cool, Karl likes lego too don't you?" She asked her husband who nodded enthusiatically.

"How about we buy some from that lego store? I heard they just came out with a brand new set of New York?" The man asked.

"You really don't have to buy me-"

"Nonsense! We finally get to meet our God Child, why not spoil them for day?" Karl said, ruffling the boys hair.

Peter smiled brightly at them both. He didn't know what he expected but reality definitely exceded his expectations. He still felt alittle closed up and anxious but the reminder that if he wanted to leave Steve would pick him up anytime kept his nerves at bay.

"So, where do you like to eat Peter? You give me a burger type of guy vibes." Karl said as they left the mall, one hand holding the signature yellow lego bag.

"I could go for burgers." Peter answered. It was coming up to almost 1:00pm already and he had to admit he was quite hungry.

"Well, Karl and I haven't been here in years. Do you know any burger places?" Rose replied.

"Oh I know a good place just down the street from her. I use to go their with May alot..." He piped down at the end as a slideshow of memories swirled in his brain. He hadn't properly thought about May in awhile considering everything that had happened.

"I'm sure it was lovely Peter. I'm so sorry to here about her passing." The woman wrapped a loose arm over his shoulder to pull him in a small side hug as they walked.

"Yeah me too."

"You remind me alot of your Mom." She continued, "She was always so kind, woudn't hurt a soul if her life depended on it."

Peter smiled and a light blush covered his cheeks. "What else do you know about my Mom?"

"Well, she was deeply in love with your Dad.  Mary always loved that man, always Richard that Richard this."

Peter laughed softly. Hearing about his parents was strange but comforting, of course his Aunt May had shared stories before but after the death of Ben they both found it hard to mention any of their names. But Rose seemed comfortable enough.

"What were they like? As teenagers." He asked.

"May was very artistic, always loved Art class and Music. She would draw all the time, on canvases, in notesbooks, doodles on her hands." She chuckled to herself and looked back at Peter.

"She was so proud of you Peter, you were only tiny the last time I laid eyes on you but I could see the adoration in her and Richard's eyes."

A watery smile crossed Peter's face and a tear almost immediately slipped down his cheek.

"No don't cry honey." Rose said, but her voice was thick with tears too. She stopped walking and knelt down to wipe away the boy's tears.

"Now this is a special occasion we shouldn't be crying." She turned to see Karl had stopped to check his phone as a secretive way of giving them a moment.

"Let's go eat."
