"It's so hot, how much longer till we get to the lake?" Malcom complains, we're all walking to a small lake that Ariel told me about, it's on the property but the property is so big that we have been walking for 25 minutes and still aren't there yet
"I think I see it, yeah, just beyond that hill I can see a heap of trees and Ariel told Lia that it's surrounded by oak trees" Drew replies. I haven't been to the lake before even when I was exploring so I have just as much idea about the location of it as the others.
"It sucks that Alessandro and Santino stayed behind aye" Drew says gloomily to me
"I know right?" Blake says in a highly sarcastic voice next to me
"Oh shut up Blake" Drew replies
"Oh shut up Blake" Blake replies imitating Drew's voice only in a very high pitched tone
"Just because you don't like him doesn't mean that I can't" Drew replies clearly very frustrated . Drew's never had any serious crushes where the person actually liked her back and so she is very protective over her relationship with Alessandro and doesn't want anything or anyone to ruin it especially not her brother.
Blake goes to reply but before he can Ivar buts in, he hates conflict and so is usually the diffuser of all Blake and Drew's arguments.
"Do you think that there will be any fish in the lake? Coz I don't know about you guys but I like my toes and I don't want them to be some fishes lunch"
"You have a very imaginative mind Ivar" Malcom says laughing
"It is a serious concern though, I saw it on tv once where these fish eat your skin" Ivar replies
"There probably won't be any flesh eating fish in the lake but just in case there is you might want to go in first so that you can warn the rest of us" I laugh
"Oh haha" Ivar replies clearly not amused while me and Malcom are laughing. I can see Blake and Drew looking at each other angrily but they don't continue their argument.
"This feels so good" Malcom says as he rushes into the cool water. The lake isn't that big, a little bigger than a pond maybe but easy enough to swim to the opposite side.
We all strip down to our swimming togs and run into the water, except Malcom of course who is already in the water because he took his t-shirt off long ago due to his inability to deal with heat.
It's a little later now and me and Ivar are sitting on the bank on the opposite side of the lake from the others. We had a swimming race and I am sad to report that Ivar won.
"Iv'e got something to tell you" Ivar says as he picks a blade of grass from the ground and fiddles with it.
"What is it?" I ask as I pick some grass myself and twirl it around in my fingers
"I'm seeing someone"
"Who?" I ask eagerly, I'm surprised the others haven't brung it up already to tease him about it
"Guess" He replies and smiles then puts his head back down to focus on the grass
"Okay, um, that girl on the bus who reads all the time and you said you liked her hair?"
"Nope"
"What about that girl Lilly?" I ask
"Who?" He replies
"You know, with blonde hair, has that massive pit bull for a pet, with like 10 older brothers?"
"Oh her, yeah no it's not Lilly"
"Okay, um what about-"
"This could take years, just ask some yes or no questions to narrow it down" Ivar buts in
"Okay, do they go to our school?"
"Yep"
"In our class?"
"Nope"
"In our year?" There is literally only like three classes in my year, we go to a school that is in the next town but it isn't much bigger than our town.
"Nope"
"The year above?"
"Yep"
"Do they have blonde hair?"
"Nope"
"Brown hair?"
"Yep"
"Glasses?" I ask
"Nope"
"Long hair?"
"Nope" He replies popping the 'p'
"It's Laura!" I reply, she has amazing hair, it's cut short and is curly
"Nope"
"Huh?" I question
"Not Laura" Ivar laughs
"But she's the only girl that has- wait, it's a boy!"
"Yep" Ivar smiles then blushes
"Oh my god Ivar, that is amazing! Who is it?"
"Ryan" Ivar says smiling
"I'm so happy for you!" I say then hug him. I'm so frustrated that I was only guessing girls though. "Do the others know?" I ask
"Only Malcom coz, Oh my god Lia" Ivar says then bends his head laughing embarrassed
"What?" I laugh
"He walked in on us, I forgot to lock the door, and well Malcom never knocks" Ivar says laughing but a bit embarrassed at the same time
"Hahaha, what did he say?"
"Well he kind of just stood there for a second with his mouth open while we were rushing to get dressed, then I made him a cup of tea and we all watched some of 'The IT crowd' together, then after Ryan left Malcom told me he would knock next time but that he was happy for me" Ivar says laughing
"Haha, that is so funny, awww, you guys are actual so perfect for each other" I say, I am honestly so happy for Ivar, it feels like everyone lately has been finding someone to love
"So, what about you? Have you found someone? Actually I know that you have because I heard Alessandro telling Drew about someone who likes you on the plane, so tell me everything!" Ivar says happily
I can feel myself blushing but I am no longer embarrassed about it, "His name is Lucas, he's amazing, he's really nice but he also doesn't take nay of the shit that I say which is good. He's really hot as well, and his smile is so cute. And when we talk it isn't like awkward or anything, I mean I can get nervous when I'm around him but our conversations are still really good. And he's coming over here, to France in a couple of weeks which I am really excited about. I'm mad that I can't talk to him till then though. But oh my god Ivar, I love talking to him so much I just feel like we connect on a deeper level, omg that is cheesy" I laugh
"Haha it is but it's cute at the same time. I'm so happy for us both" Ivar says beaming
"Same" I reply
