Chapter 29

The first thing Blake says to me after I haven't seen him in weeks and I experienced a very traumatic experience wasn't something like 'how have u been?' or 'I missed you', no, it was, "That was the worst airplane ride I have ever been on"

I look at him in disbelief.  I told them all the  shit that happened back in Italy when I first told Drew about them being allowed to come to France and this is what he says.

"Haha, he is glad to see you it's just Drew and Alessandro were all over each other on the way over. It drove Blake mad" Ivar says laughing and hugs me 

"He even tried to make them stop but Drew through a can of coke at him" Malcom adds

We're all walking to the house, Blake infront of me while Malcom and Ivar are beside me then Santino just behind us and Drew and Alessandro far behind Santino. 

"Naw, is Blake getting all protective over his older sister?" I yell out teasingly to Blake 

"Older by 3 minuets" Blake grumbles as he turns around and glares at Alessandro and Drew who aren't even aware of Blake looking at them 

"Relax man, she's 16 she isn't a baby anymore" I laugh

"Yeah, I know, but still, ugh" he says then shivers, "The way they were talking just creeped me out"

"Haha" I laugh then Blake turns around annoyed 

I walk a bit slower so that Malcom and Ivar are ahead of me and I'm walking next to Santino

"Hey, I haven't seen you in ages" I say as I hug him 

"Ugh I know, me and Alessandro had to go to New York straight after we got back from taking you to Italy" he says and hugs me back 

"How have you been?" I ask as we carry on walking. The area that the plane lands on is only about a ten minuet walk from the house, the path winds around rows of grape vines and gradually makes us climb a hill. 

"Good, I really like New York but it sucked not being in Italy when you were there, what about you, how have you been?" 

"Good but yeah I agree, it sucked that we only go to see each other on the plane and then not in Italy" 

We carry on walking for a little bit then Santino smiles and says,

"So, you and Lucas aye?"

"How did you know about that?" I ask laughing 

"Lucas told me" 

"Huh?" I ask confused, I thought that Leo would have, "wait what did he say?" 

"That he thought that you were really beautiful and that you were really smart and that any time he's around you he gets really nervous" 

"Wow" I say quietly. My heart is feeling so warm right now

"Yeah, cute aye" Santino chuckles 

"What's cute?" Malcom turns around and says, we've reached the house and we are standing outside the door 

"Oh, nothing" I say smiling, "come on follow me" 

I walk though the house and up the stairs to where most of the bedrooms are. Everyone has their own bedrooms with two spare bedrooms left over, yeah this house is pretty big. But the rooms are just the right size, they aren't too big that it feels empty but they are just big enough.

It's later in the night and everyone has gone back to their bedrooms except me and Drew who are still in the living room. We have been playing board games and cards so me and Drew are just tidying away the last card game that we played. 

"Alessandro's so cute don't you think" Drew sighs 

"Gross, he's like a brother to me" 

"And he's so sweet as well, did you know that he speaks four languages" Drew carry's on talking but mostly just talking to herself

"Yep" I reply amused 

"English, Italian, French and Spanish, I can only speak English" she says dreamily

"So you really like him huh?" I laugh 

"Do you think it's obvious?" She replies quickly 

"Nooooo, I don't think Blake has even noticed" I laugh 

"Good, good. I think he might get a bit overprotective if he knew" She replies dreamily again. I meant it in a sarcastic way but I decide not to burst her bubble

"Yeah probably" I laugh 

"He, Alessandro I mean, was telling me about how that guy Lucas likes you, do you like him?" She replies sounding excited, she loves gossip

"Yeah, I do" I smile as I sit back on the couch 

"What's he like?" She says sitting next to me and rests her head on my shoulder 

"He's really kind, and funny and smart, and he doesn't even get mad at me when I'm a bitch" I laugh then get a bit sad, "He got hurt because of me though, he was protecting me and it's all my fault because I was being a bitch" tears start coming from my eyes and I rush to clear them from my face, not wanting Drew to notice but she does 

"Alessandro told me what happened, don't feel bad about it Lia, your Dad shouldn't of been forcing you to marry someone that you didn't want to and Alessandro was talking to Lucas about it and Lucas wasn't mad at you or anything. Apparently he was mad at your Dad though" 

"Really? He said that he didn't blame me at all?" 

"I mean, I wasn't there but that's what Alessandro told me. And Lia, remember when we were video calling and Lucas was lying next to you on your bed? I honestly thought then about how much of cute couple you guys would be. He kept looking at you and smiling when he thought you weren't looking at him. I honestly don't think he would blame you" 

"Oh my god, did he really do that? I didn't even realise, oh my gosh that is so cute. Ugh, I miss him so much but I'm pretty sure that in two weeks time when you guys have to leave coz the school holidays end and when he's better my Dad's going to let him come over to France to spend time with me which is exciting" 

"Aww, that is exciting! You guys would be such a cute couple!"

"Thanks, you and Alessandro would be a really cute couple as well" I say truthfully 

"Thanks" She says smiling and I can just tell that she is about to start day dreaming about them being a couple again 

"Okay, I'm going to go up to bed now, good night" 

"Night" she says as I exit the room

I'm so sorry that it has taken me so long to update this story.  I thought that when I went into self isolation I would write a heap but honestly I have just had such a lack of motivation and I have been very stressed. But hopefully I will continue updating regularly from now on since the story is almost over, just a few more chapter now!
