To understand this story we need to start about a year before the media dubbed Civil War.
Peter and Wanda met when they were 17 and they hit it off instantly. They both developed small crushes on eachother but neither of them ever acted on it. They did couple things but never actually became an official couple.
Peter was on Tony's side and Wanda was on Steve's. Steve didn't tell Peter the whole Story because Tony was his dad so Peter didn't know why she chose to go with him and she didn't understand why he stuck with his dad.
When the rouges were arrested Peter didn't have the heart to go visit, and he never moved on. They didn't see eachother for almost 2 years before they finally fixed the accords and got their names cleared.
When the rouges went back to the Tower, Peter was away on a business trip with Pepper so wanda didn't have to face him for a few days. On the day he was due to come back she was more nervous than she had ever been in her entire life.
"You're gonna be fine." Natasha tried to reassure. "I hope so." Wanda sighed.The elevator dinged and Peter came in on the phone. "Yes, Mr.John I understand you scheduled a meeting for today at 3 but something came up and we need to reschedule." Peter said. Someone said something on the other end of the line and Peter frowned.
"Mr.Johnathan I've tried playing nice but you're pushing my buttons. You either reschedule the meeting or we don't have it at all and you will No Longer have Stark industries supplying your company with the technology you need." Peter threatened. "We can't do 8 am but we can do next friday at 3. Goodbye."
Peter sighed and came into the common room. "Dad I need you to...oh...hello." He froze upon seeing the rouges and Wanda. "Hey." They all said. "Wanda." He said. "Peter." She replied. He looked like he wanted to say something but he walked off. "Peter...I think we need to talk." Wanda said.
Peter sighed but told her to follow him. He led her to his room and disabled the camera and audio feed. "Wanda....about the...Civil War-" He started. "I feel used but I'm still missing you and I can't see the end of this, Just wanna feel your kiss against my lips." She said moving towards him but he backed up. "And now all this time is passing by but I still can't seem to tell you why."
"Why what?" Peter asked. "It hurts me every time I see you, I realize how much I need you." Wanda said. "How do you feel?" Peter asked. "I hate you," She said. His heart dropped. "I love you," She changed her answer and he looked at her confused. "I hate that I love you, I don't want to but I can't put nobody else above you." Wanda said.
Peter was silent for a minute processing what she said. She took it as him not caring and she turned to leave.
"I miss you when I can't sleep." Peter admitted making her stop in her tracks. "Or right after coffee, Or right when I can't eat. I miss you in my front seat." He listed. "Still got sand in my sweaters from nights we don't remember." They both chuckled at the memory of them sneaking off to the beach and falling asleep and having to run back to the tower before the team woke up."Do you miss me like I miss you?" He asked. "Messed around and got attached to you." He told her. "Friends can break your heart too." She said. "I'm always tired but never of you." Peter smiled sadly. "If I pulled a you on you, you wouldn't like that shit. I put this reel out, but you wouldn't bite that.
I type a text but then I 'nevermind' that. I got these feelings but you never mind that shit." Peter said. "I don't put off your feelings." Wanda said. " Keep it on the low. You're still in love with me but your friends don't know." Peter referred to the rouges who she had told she'd moved on. "I-" She tried.
"If you wanted me you would just say so and if I were you, I would never let me go." He said honestly. "I don't mean no harm, just miss you on my arm, Wedding bells were just alarmsCaution tape around my heart." He muttered. "You ever wonder what we could have been?" He asked. She nodded.
"You said you wouldn't and you fucking did. Lie to me, lie with me, get your fix. Now all my drinks and all my feelings are all fucking mixed." Peter said. "I didn't lie to you. I just didn't agree with you." Wanda said.
"Always missing people that I shouldn't be missing, Sometimes you gotta burn some bridges just to create some distance." Peter said. "What are you talking about? You're the one who controls you're own thoughts and you choose to think about what we did...didn't have." Wanda said.
"I know that I control my thoughts and I should stop reminiscing But I learned from my dad that it's good to have feelings." Peter retorted. "You didn't tell me the whole story." He sighed. "I...I couldn't." Wanda said. Peter rolled his eyes. "When love and trust are gone." Peter started.
"I guess this is moving on. Everyone I do right does me wrong. So every lonely night, I sing this song." Peter sighed. "We could've been something." He said going to leave. Wanda snapped at him before he could. "All alone I watch you watch her." He looked back at her in shock. "Like she's the only girl you've ever seen. You don't care you never did. You don't give a damn about me!"
He was suprised by her tone and she realized this and wiped her tears and whispered this time. "Yeah all alone I watch you watch her. She's the only thing you've ever seen. How is it you never notice, that you are slowly killing me?" She asked.
He was quiet, trying to figure out what she meant. "I hate you, I love you. I hate that I love you. Don't want to but I can't put .Nobody else above you." She said. "Who?" Peter asked. "MJ." She said pushing past him.
He ran after her and he stopped her in the hallway. "Wanda!" He tried. "I hate you, I love you. I hate that I want you. You want her, you need her, and I'll never be her." She said snatching out of his grip and going in the elevator. The other avengers looked on in confusion as he groaned frustratedly and ran back to his room.

here's a teaser for the chapter I'm currently working on titled
Assuming you've seen the darkest minds....
Back in the 1600s (because story purposes) a disease spread called Idiopathic Adolescent Acute Neurodegeneration (IAAN), more common known as Everhart's disease, after the first victim,
spread and killed 98% of 8-14 year olds in America.
The surviving 2% got psionic abilities. They were classified in 5 differnt color categories. "Greens," superintelligence; "blues," telekinesis; "yellows", control of electricity; "oranges," the ability to control others' minds; and "reds," pyrokinesis. The government rounded up all the kids and you know the rest of the story.
After the teenagers were welcomed back into society they had kids and their kids didn't have powers so they assumed they were safe. 4 generations (almost 100 years) later, their kids were born with powers.
So naturally they did a census, promising no harm would come to the kids, and they found that majority of the kids had no powers or green. Blue and yellow were rare. But out of the whole generation there were no reds and only one orange.
This continued for the next 400 years. They had discovered some kids could have mixed powers. They were rare though, only ever blue or yellow mixed with green. The next generation with these powers was geneeration Z. Shield and the avengers (when they later formed) searched for who the orange, but there didn't seem to be one.
The last Orange tried to overthrow the government and ended up getting killed so everyone assumed there wasn't one.
They didn't relize the orange was living right under their noses, the orange didn't realize it was them either.
