" Ow " I flinched when Gene lightly tap on my thigh where the fresh bullet wound is from this morning.
It's been a few weeks since the incident, Cassie and Nat made it which I am glad.
" Don't move " he said and grab the new bandaged, he wraps it around the wound.
" How do you know so much about medical things? " I asked.
" I'm a survivor, I learn a lot of things on my own " he said, I pressed my lips into a line then flinched when he puts too much pressure.
I hiss and he pause for a second looking up at me.
" I'm fine " I said, he finishes and put the bloody cotton pad aside next to the small bowl of bloody water.
" You have to be careful sometimes " he said.
" I'm never careful " I said, he snickers.
" Not surprise since every time I'm with you, there's only one word you write over your forehead " he said.
" And that is? " I asked.
" Recklessness " he pinches my nose and I yelp rubbing it, I pout with a whine, looking away with red cheeks.
" You need more training " he said and grab another cotton pad, putting alcohol in it,
" I graduated Bounty Academy " I said.
" But how are your grades? " He asked and rub the alcohol on my temple where the cut is.
" I still graduated " I said.
" Uh-huh " he sass and when he was done treating my wound, throwing the cotton swab with the other bloody ones.
" What a coincidence that I'm home alone and you knew that I was out bounty hunting again " I said.
" Wasn't exactly a coincidence, we were in the hunt together " he said, I sighed and he pulls his chair closer to me.
" I just wanna know who they are, they almost killed me and my girls, I just want to rip them apart " I said.
" They definitely have a high skill in combat " he said.
" I heard a few other Bounty Hunter's were killed as well, I want to find who these guys are " I said.
" I do too " he said.
I stand up when he pulls me down.
" What? " I asked.
" Where are you going? " He asked.
" To my room. . . .? " I furrow my eyebrows at him.
" Your not walking there " he stands up.
" Then how am I supposed to- " I shriek when he picks me up bridal style.
I panic and ended up wrapping my arms around his neck, lifting my body up a little, turning my face to him, we're really, really, really, really.

Really close.
" Hi " he said feeling his breath against my cheek.
" . . .hi. . . " I said in a soft voice which is high pitch and unexpected for me to have a really high voice.
I pressed my lips into a line then look away after that tone of my voice, I can tell he's smiling while my cheek is all red like a beetroot. He walks out of the kitchen with his arms still under my body, carrying me up the stairs, I couldn't help myself but lie my head on to his shoulder.
It's comfortable.
We made it down the corridor then to my room, he gently put me down on my bed, I gently remove my arms off his neck and adjust my seat, backing up and he stands there awkwardly.
" Do you wanna lie down or keep standing? " I asked.
" I have to clean the med kit downstairs " he said, I nodded and he walk out of my room but shutting the door behind him.
I sigh in relief then turn to my right where my phone is charging, I unplug the USB then switch off the socket, I lean back on the headboard unlocking my phone with my fingerprint, I tap on my camera roll and see my reflection.
I take a picture of myself along with a peace sign, the door opens which made me flinch and I put down my phone to see Gene at the door, he looks at me in confusion.
" I was just taking a picture " I said then he shuts the door as I look through my camera roll to see how I look even with the cut on my face.
Gene jumps on the bed then crawl over to my side, before I could put my phone away, he takes it.
" Hey! " I attempt to grab it but he wrap his arms around my waist.
" Gene stop! " I giggle a little feeling my cheeks flush red again.
I see he raise the phone up high, hearing the photo shots multiple times.
" Come on, smile for the camera~ " he chirps, I turn to him and see our reflection on my phone.
I lightly smile while Gene does a very bright one which made his eyes squinted a little along with his arms still around my waist.
" There " he pass it to me and I hold my phone feeling my hand shaking a little.
I place my phone on the bedside table then put my hands under my blanket.
" I'm going to go to sleep now " I said, he just smiles while I awkwardly lie down, facing away from him and feeling my body heat up.
I pull the blanket over my head, feeling movement around the bed, the light switches off, more movement around the bed and my blanket was tugged a little until an arm wraps around my waist. His breath was brushing off against the back of my neck and a kiss was placed.
" Goodnight " he said.
One word escapes my mouth.
" Night "
~ Time Skip ~
I tie my hair up into a messy bun while taking out a pan out from the cabinet under the stove, I start making some breakfast and the delicious smell goes up my nose.
" Your up early " I turn around and look up to see Gene near the railing looking down at me only in his pants.
" This is not for you, if you want food you have to cook for yourself " I said and transfer the bacon and eggs on the plate.
I hear his footsteps and I turn off the stove turning around to see him walking up to me.
" A little greedy don't you think? " He asked and I grab the fork and spoon in the drawer.
" They're aren't for me either " I said.
" Oh?, Then who is it for? " He asked feeling his arms around my waist from behind, I chuckled.
" You forgot I have a little brother who is paralyzed " I said as I put the plate down on the tray with the utensils.
" He can wait " I feel him giving me kisses on the back of my neck, my cheeks warm up as I turn around, I place my hands on his bare chest pushing him as his hands are on the side of my waist.
" Not now, Vylad's going to starve to death " I said, he leans and I swallow a lump in my throat on how close our face are.
" I'll wait for you upstairs " he kiss my cheek which made me flinched.
He walks away and I take a deep breath then exhale from the intense moment just now. I feel my cheeks warm up again but it cools down as I turn around picking up the tray. I brush off the feeling in my stomach and head down the corridor, turning to the left where Vylad's room is.
I knock on the door then open it to see Vylad on his bed with the screen of his phone on his face.
" Morning " I said and shut the door behind me.
" Mom and dad are still out, Garroth and Zane hasn't come back while you brought a guy home " he put his phone beside him as he sit up.
" You've been cooped up in your room all day, how do you know all this? " I asked and place the tray on the table, sliding it in front of him.
" I have ears " he said, I snicker turning around and grab a chair.
I sit down next to the bed and rest my arms on the bed.
" It's not like you heard us last night or something, we didn't do anything " I said.
" You didn't but the blood stain on the cut on your head and bandage on your thigh doesn't give you a cover " he said, I snicker and hit his shoulder.
" Ow! " He whines with his mouth full of bacon.
" What was that for? " He whines.
" Your such a baby "
I don't know why but, I'm feeling down lately.
